  1. Past hour
  2. Yeah, they actually included Agents in the Apocalypse game, not that they've supported it at all lately. I remember downloading the rules for them from Warcom... Probably still have them kicking around. I could see an Epic Scale Inquisitor + retinue on a stand. No point in Ordo Xenos, and Hereticus were formed after the Age of Apostasy, so while they work thematically they wouldn't be lore accurate... Unless GW wakes up and realizes that setting LI in the Heresy era limited their design space. Malleus though... They would work. I think they were created during the Heresy.
  3. Yeah, I'm happy. They have the character head sets, melee weapons are coming, legion specific helmets and shoulder pads. I know not everyone is going to want to buy that many kits but I would usually pick up one of each to sprinkle through my army and it would give me more than enough pieces to play around with. Hopefully the melee kit has some nice options, though.
  4. It seems also compatible with future MK 2/4/5 bodies. So more "generic" and less "stylish" is understandable.
  5. I think 40K is 100% the system for inquisition. I’m super hyped. 40K is just a skirmish system, even the biggest armies have maybe 100-120 models. Even in epic style you could represent an inquisitor with a stand of minis. I digress… My hope is they get their own special upgrade kits for stormtroopers/guard. I hope they get to take the navy breachers and other units, and get some heavy infantry of their own. My question though is what will their vehicles look like? Upgrade spruce and rhinos? What about heavy weapons or anti-armor? Those questions interest me. And I don’t just want brood brother style guard or marines or sisters. I know that’s an easy fix but really can’t fathom what it would be.
  6. if you made the characters rust-free they would really stand out.
  7. On the assembled IF picture the banner is visibly convex, and moreso on the right side. Meaning a properly aligned transfer should should look fine. Depending on the dimensions one might either need to trim the transfer in some places, or mask the edge of the design with paint if it doesn't reach. Imo nothing too difficult to do.
  8. Today
  9. Insanely good, the head area in particular is just out of this world.
  10. Not to mention that the -1 to hit within 12" combined with one less attack makes Swarmers a lot less good at closer ranges.
  11. I agree with everyone saying this seems pretty underwhelming. The combat shields look fine, but seem an unnecessary inclusion given the assault squad that just came out. The heads seem "meh." Swords are fine, but it seems like we're getting five of the exact same one? Even if the swords themselves are identical, it would have been nice to get different hand poses/angles. It would have been nice to get more extra bolt pistols. The vexillas, however, look pretty exciting. I'm worried though that the banner blowing sideways in the wind will mean that the gorgeous rectangular vexilla decals on most of the FW legion transfer sheets won't fit correctly on the banner. That seems like it would be a major unforced error, which makes it seem even more likely that it is indeed the case...
  12. No, I’m thinking of things like rivets, sharper angles and ellipses in helmet design, and particularly the pointed greaves on the old mkIII feet.
  13. Yesterday
  14. I don't know why people were expecting Apothecary bits... just because LI had one in the Command Squad, that has no bearing on HH's Command Squad.
  15. In fairness, the command squad has enough options not on the sprues without adding things like Apothecaries lol.
  16. So the vanguard vets are done and I think the blade guard should be done tomorrow, apart from decals and chipping. That just leaves the two ancients, dread and tank. It's gonna be close. I'll post pics of progress Saturday.
  17. One I realized after reading the HH story of the BL 2024 celebration shorts: Amendera Kendel, the Silent Sister-turned-Agent of Malcador. She had (has?) her own little cluster of side shorts, but hitherto there's been no resolution to her arc or journey. No idea if the shorts will continue now post-SoT.
  18. Haven't had a chance to play my sisters yet, but in theoryhammer, I'm thinking Miracle dice on melta from a rhino and free HK's on every tank I bring?
  19. I like this kit, but wish it had more options for things like apothocaries and such. Edit: It seems like this kit will be very good for making or serving as the base for making a lot of special units.
  20. I don't let expecting the worst prevent me from hoping for the best- and the Coteaz rumour is credible because we don't have a modern plastic Malleus Inquisitor (unless you were lucky enough to scoop the anniversary Erasmus Cartovolnus model... And luckily I was). I only trust the rumour as much as I do because we have Greyfax for Hereticus and Draxus for Xenos. But you know, it chokes me a bit that Eisenhorn is one of the most beloved characters in the entire IP, and many people's favourite BL series besides and they still haven't given him the plastic respect he deserves. Probably saving that until the TV series (if that's still coming... I know Henry Cavill getting into the 40k film scene shook things up a bit).
  21. Managed to finish them all with some varnish today. And took better photos of the elves.
  22. Well I kinda called it on this being an upgrade sprue. Glad they made a generic veteran command squad option to suit the kit a little better. Most legions do have better options for retinue units but I'm mostly glad that I already saw this coming and printed and converted a bunch of artificier bodies of my own. lol It really looks great in Iron Warriors scheme wich is nice cuase they are one of the legions that gets alot out of command and veteran melee squads. If that picture is accurate I count 16 arms. Also nice. Interesting that they included a tigris bolt pistol. Perhaps a mark 4 kit is on the way sooner rather than later.
  23. This really resonated with me and is why I continue to source the old scale models for my projects mostly because of the aesthetic. I think the word 'grittiness' nails it really, some of the recent Heresy models have felt a little over embellished for my personal taste but I would say its a fine line and obviously very much a personal taste. It's really disappointing that you are basically encouraged to slap these items on standard armour models. A couple of artificer armour torsos would have gone down a treat, provided they weren't dolled up like a Christmas tree, as seems the preference for the new HH aesthetic.
  24. I get how other are let down but it not being an actual new squad I am myself somewhat would have been cool for some artificer MKIII but I honestly love this kit! The Swords + Combat shields are BEAUTIFUL! Helmets are great bare heads are good lots of standard options I think all in all it’s a great upgrade sprue
  25. I’m expecting nothing and that way mayhaps I will be pleasantly surprised.
