  1. Past hour
  2. The monolith is competitive due to the Hypercrypt legion. It has also showed up a few times as a 3-of, though that build seems a lot more "Fun" than super competitive.
  3. Malvolio Raising his hand he signalled the attention of the others, what few were here of the ships medicae and security staff but one of the ships officers had also attended the call and so her he spoke directly. "Let the body not be disturbed until those cuts of intent be separated from those of conflict." The work of a death cult perhaps, the tenuous edge between praise and heresy in his name for he could sense no breach in the warp nor passage of the unclean... then again such things faded quickly while not in realspace. "The eyes of the ship are ever open" he intoned to the voidmaster, for indeed few not of the vessels complement could hope to move far without stumbling into the path of some construct of the mechanicum, but by the same token the fleeting servo skulls and lumbering servitors could pass no judgement of their own will on the humans they encountered.
  4. Hey, I'm not the one arguing they can't, that'd be the Inquisitor. I agree, but the eradicator is already out of the bag, so let's just keep slapping them big guns on em. Give em grav, give em whatever. 3 man devastator squads in gravis armor is fine by me; you only ever got 4 worthwhile devastators for what you paid for, and now we can go all the way up to six!
  5. Malvolio: The hardening of your soul a sensible precaution in amongst such a soulless company as found in the servitor racks, your senses edge out, brushing against the truly living, Sola, a mixture of concern and business, a couple of crewmen detailed to recover the body, both confused and sad. The echoes of a soul gone are no less confusing. The blood patterns seem to mean something, but maybe mean nothing. The cuts are random in some places, deliberate in others. Defensive wounds against an attacker accustomed to edged weapons. Beneath the surface, there is a mix of deep confusion. A lingering sensation of anticipation, elation, happiness. Then begins the sour note of terror, and the creeping tendrils of darkness.
  6. I'm reserving judgement on Ad Mech until the Balance Dataslate comes out as it's seems they're in for some support there. But constant point drops to the most expensive (in £££) army to field is not the answer long term. Every time I seem to get close to a full 2k army the points drop and I need to buy another unit! They need the sort of hard look and rethink that a new edition and then a new codex should have provided but for whatever reason didn't.
  7. We lost the one variant to legends already, so it wouldn't be totally shocking. That being said it's still a kit GW produces and I've seen it on shelves within the last year. I know that's not a guarantee of survival, but it makes it more likely. I think GW just doesn't know what to do with flyers.
  8. WAR

    The Silent Sisterhood

So the remodel is in progress but going very well but unfortunately due to crazy Arizona weather, fiancé and some of the kids being sick last weekend it is hitting me finally. Tired, sick, and sore not a good combo, I am trying to fight through it all. While moving stuff around in preparation of the remodel, I was putting box kits on the shelves and putting my unboxed Redemptionist and Sisters of Silence in the rolling cart with other stuff. I being debating what I want as my allies for Horus Heresy Raven Guard. Solar Auxilia didn't seem right, I was thinking Space Wolves but that was more marines I would have to build and buy. Then looking at the sprues of Sisters of Silence and was like why not, Sisters of Silence. I need to sit down and see what I have, what I need. Know I am going to be using Sister Novitiate Weapons to count as Power Fist and Whips. Eventually I will convert/ build beasts for a Pursuer Cadre and nemesis bolters for the Sanctioner Cadre. I do want a big unit Raptora Cadre around my Knight Abyssal and a big Squad of Oblivion Knights both in Kharon Pattern Acquistors. I do plan on running base two Prosecutor Cadres maybe a third one with twin bolt pistols.
  9. The drops for scions units are nice, and the hellhound getting a cut was a nice bonus! I'm still not sure why the Valkyrie still hasn't been touched; I'm beginning to suspect that one might be getting Legends-ed when we get our codex (request tin foil hat shipments from ministorum....)
  10. I'm focusing on my Chaos SM and World Eaters this edition, so a lot of drops on units I use plenty of.
  11. Malvolio Death was a constant companion on any star vessel but one could never be too careful, especially within the immaterium where such things were not always final even if their cause was mundane. Those deaths witnessed were accounted for by the judgement of the sector leaders but those that occurred in the shadows were checked and weighed lest they lead to more. The superstitious on many ships believed the loss of life in warp transit was unavoidable, some had even been known to take it or arrange for accidents to occur such that the fate would not be visited on them. It aided morale but the Emperors coin could not be spent so vainly, nor could more disturbing or heretical causes be ruled out without examination. Normally this task would have fallen to a lesser member of the choir but the journey had been uneventful and long days within the chamber pondering the meaning of the tarot had left him restless.
  12. I'm guessing they'll save the talon for Corax if they decide to ever bring him back.
  13. By army I play: AdMech: SHRUG - While I'm not angry to drop 70 points from my usual list (yes, I'm still running 4 robots, 2 rangers and an Onager), I do think this mostly needs to be a rules change. I played the army recently, and it's close to fun, bu desparately needs some quality of life changes that have nothing to do with the number of units I can take. Tangentially, Kyria Draxus going up is hekkin annoying. Eldar: Yep - secretly snickering in striking scorpion; Banshees should have dropped to 65 as well, surely... And happy to take the points on Guardians - I take 2 in every list so this is the first time I'm on a net positive in a list lol. Guard: Kasrkin are still going to be worth it at 120, but less tempting to take full 3x10... My list changes v. little. Drukhari: I'm fine with it. Some units need more sauce, but this is not really a points issue either. GSC: drops on vehicles definitely correct. Army still not quite doing what I want it to. Votann: lol ok - guess I get an extra enhancement. More units plz. Marines: Cool. Tacticals at 140 are borderline decent, I swear. Terminators and vindicators down is quite spicy. Jump Intercessors down is also caliente. WE: KILL MAIM BURN - As a routine 30 Berzerker + 2 mauler + 2 jakhal player I'm ~80 points in the black here. All told I'm satisfied other than feeling like Kastelans could have dropped 5-10 more points each. Balance Data-slate when? Cheers, The Good Doctor.
  14. Thanks Xenith! It certainly stands out effectively. So dataslate... my list loves it. Down by 60 points. Locked in with list with one game left but is good to know i can afford enhancements if nessiary. Is also nice knowing our necron player is getting a good hit. Next game iv drawn darkangels which im hopeful for
  15. Today
  16. Russ would be cool. A prime candidate for the "Emperor's talon" - the final iconic piece of wargear.
  17. Nobs are folded into the unit now. So the 160 for 4 is actually 160 for 3 + nob. Presumably it's a points change from the Codex or they're counting it as going up from the old price for 3.
  18. It's already updated. You might have to manually select "Update" via the play/apple store
  19. By that logic, everyone would be wearing Gravis. At some point, the security blanket needs to be abandoned in favor of actually being able to efficiently perform the assigned task.
  20. I think Chronomancer makes more sense than a Monolith going up (to me, anyway). I don't follow tournament lists or anything but I wasn't under the impression people were bringing multiples, and they still die pretty easily, so that seems a bit unnecessary unless my experience is out of the norm.
  21. Zidemi: Zidemi effortlessly sidestepped the claw's swing; the Warboss was now completely exposed. He reset his Servo-Arm and engaged the Rite of Amplification to improve its compressive power. But, in a uncharacteristic act of resignation, the Ork "grinned" and made no attempt to cover his vulnerability as the Techmarine launched his strike. Zidemi was undeterred. This wretched creature threatened Humanity and defiled the gifts of the Omnissiah. There would be no concessions. "The hammer falls, Ork, and the anvil shall deem you wanting!" Standard Attack: Zidemi attacks Grubgob with his Servo-Arm, benefiting from Holy Vengeance at half-Agility Bonus (as per GM’s ruling) Knock-Down*: Zidemi attempts to force Grubgob prone.
  22. Anyone know how long until the app is updated?
  23. Did squighog boys go up? They're a 4 model unit and the oldest points I have lying around for them (Jan) had 3 hogs + nob at 170, they're 160 for 4 atm.
  24. April 2024 Updates Balance Dataslate Munitorum Field Manual
