40k still tries to act like its balanced with its use of power lev.. I mean points? I thought everyone just rocked up with boxes of models and threw trap cards..or stratagems or whatever they are called now at one another until the time runs out?

I still people should be more open to play old editions - instead of the latests. Solves alot of this "Legends" BS and the best editions are usually not the latest - in my humble opinion..

My mate who is very forgiving of 2.0 and is generally a super positive dude who loves the lore... said it was hotgarbage and he liked Siege of Cthonia... so I have not read it, but from that I can take away that it is terrible and a pass.

Previous 190pts is not cheap. IG demolisher commander has the same gun, better secondary weapons like lascannon and multi-melta, 2+ to fire on death, 205pts. Most IG lists take 1 or 2, can't afford 3.

Agree. But I do fear that the range design philosophy (or lack thereof) might screw over the Third Legion on release. People mentioned it before: EC is noise marines. EC is also flamboyant duelist melee. But Noise marines aren't melee, There is a lot of potential for a fumble in faction design. At least the index guarantees that they are getting a release. And I believe the release will be sooner rather than later, since WE got the exact treatment. Index in WD, then full codex. Me too fam. Me too

And.......we're done with all the green stuff. Painted up the crew (very easy, I don't try as hard on these as with the Rogue Trader guard), filled in all the detail I missed, gave the whole thing another thorough rust and mud treatment, glued them together, drilled the gun barrels and aerial bases. These are all the same methods I used on the Centaurs earlier in the blog, just more hurriedly applied. Still not bad results though. Right, time for some pictures, then back to normal service. Bam:

Hello every one, I am returning to the fold after taking a hiatus since 2016. Painters burn out and moving to a new area kind of took the wind out of my sails. However a new group of friends has rekindled my interest in removing my grey piles of shame. That being said, I know this platform helped to inspire me to pump out a full Black Templar army and am now looking into the Grey Knights. I look forward to joining the crusade once more.

Nice freehand work on the latest additions to your Crusade! I must say, I'm a little surprised to see a Librarian in Black Templar colours: what's the reason behind this model, if you don't mind explaining please? :)
