As daemons dream

Played in a local tourney this past Saturday, 1,850 pts, 24 players with home grown missions. My showing was fair, win-draw-draw but the army took best painted. I’ve had a few of these models recognized at local events but this was the highest achievement to-date. Add to that the fact that I had three good opponents and had a great time. It almost encourages me to try to take the Daemons to ‘Ard Boyz again this year but my confidence level is too low. Daemons are a 2nd tier army at best and my not good enough of a player to make up the difference. Might just end of officiating the games again this year.
I pulled a late night before the tourney to finish off the squad of Fiends and here are the results.

Ideally, I should add the third NDP & perhaps even paint one of the SG’s I converted. But, with the call of the Blood Angels being heard about the 40K universe I can’t put off the refresh any longer. Therefore…
Angels Sanguine
Redux
It’s now my goal to get the army table-ready as quickly as I can. So that means some tanks need to get assembled (and in part converted) and a good number of infantry need to get underway. Looking back on models in various states of completion. In so doing, I got back to work on Baal predator #1: (or should I say, #8, Vesuvio).

The second pic is my take on the (then OCE's now) Lucifer pattern engines. As was already pointed out, how would that design work for a transport w/o the loss of the access point? The mysteries of Machine Spirit based engineering eludes me (not to mention engineering based on wraithbone, Ork meks, etc.) as does this appeared inconsistency. I do think that it gets the point across and lends a nice level of detail to the model so it’s a keeper.
Along with this guy I’ve been assigned models to the various roles required for my first-take army list. Expect to see them coming together in the very near term.
In the mean time, thanks as always for reading. -OMG
