My Doublewing (DW squad finished)

Stunning work Vansan. Really brilliant. I take it you free-hand those banners? Any tips on that?

Also, the hoods on your librarian and your terminator chaplain, any chance of a tutorial on how you did those? I've seen greenstuff hoods done before, but never that well. These really look part of the model. All the others I've seen before looked a bit fake. Even if you can't do a tutorial, would you mind listing the basic steps you use and any tips you can think of?

I agree the banners are excellent and it's nice to see them a bit singed around the edges ^_^. On banners it's intersting to see how a colour change can transform them. Compare VanSan's Ezekiel (with his moulded banner) to Ezekiel's own colour scheme shown below.

Thanks Isiah for the comparison. And nice Ezekiel. I think its one of the best 40k models ever, and was one reason to start with DA.

mine is also finished.

Hope you like him.

No, not for painting robes. I mean for sculpting the robe hoods (on the heads) out of green stuff. I'd like to know what technique you used and what steps you followed.

Brother your painting is fantastic!!! I love it!!!

But I will ask you the same thing I always ask when i see a multi melta on a LR... why almost everybody mount it on the back hatch and not on the front one getting a couple of inches more for range? :D

This I aggree on. MM's are very range sensitive, after all, 12"and less is the sweet spot.

That's why my MM's are glued to the hatch things, which are in turn lose, so I can pllace them up front easily.
