The Conversion Beamer.

I have no clue of what its supposed to look like..as no one else does either (except you crazy players from way back when).

I saw...Kikkila's with a Conversion Beamer on a bike... Mines too lame to be put on a bike.

It doesn't have a body yet, thats PART of the barrel...

I imagined it to have the outer things (pulse rifle barrels) to spin around the Lascannon barrel, to create some sort of energy field (or something)... I haven't worked too much on it yet.

ok its differn't but what are you hoping to mount it on?

I like the idea of your thread, just whatever your working on as a never ending list - I might do one (I love showing off the things i've done - they may not be as good as some But It makes me feel good! )

This is similar in concept to my idea of a conversion beamer; sort of like a shokk attack gun but with less grots and more reliability. And i like the idea of this thread, might shift my current DA thread into a similar vein.

Don't know where the thread idea came from =-D just popped into my head...and if it flops..I won't do it again (doyy)

I'm going to mount it on some sort of...thing... But I don't have a Techmarine, so I have no clue of what I would mount it on.. as of now. I'm just going to keep it in relative size with a normal marine, so its not SUPER big.

The shape of a conversion beamer can be almost anything.

The original was a square stock, with a large half sphere front - there was a circle (not a hole) in the front of the sphere and 3 circular holes on each side near the rim.

The chaos version with a long cylinder with a heap of cables and a point coming out of the front. Totally different.

Well. I was at a roadblock for hecka long. But I got somewhere. Its not great, as the bitz quantity that I thought I might have had no help with this...

This thing definitely sucks, but It'll do until I can conjure up something better. Its still heavily WIP...I need to bulk up the back some more...and figure out how to mount it on a Techmarine..Forgeman. =-D

I'm highly disappointed in my lack of creativity. Ever since I stopped playing with LEGO 24/7 (about 4 years ago) all my creativity has gone down the hole.

What do you think? (yes, I'm working on an AP Bio test...HELLOV HARD!!)

stick the master of the forge on an attack bike with the conversion beamer in the side car? it removes the size and weight issues some people might have, other than that maybe use a tracked unit similar to the thunderfire cannon? just without the whole artillery rules.

Yeah, I think it looks like a spaceship too... I kind of like the way it looks. I cut off the missile launcher from the Tactical Sprue, and used the arm...It looked okay, but it looked too heavy for the shrimpy arm. I need to get a servoharnes, to mount it on.

Currently, I have to do tests on GS chapter symbols, so I can get a really good one, and cast it.

I just did a test run, and I think that it looks pretty good. Considering.

The original is the big one, the new one is small, and size compared to a backpack.

Instead of sculpting the chapter symbol you could try drawing it out on plasicard, cutting it out, sticking it to another piece of plasticard etc until you have the perth you want and then cast from there? It would make the edges crisper and the depth consistent - probably easier than using GS first off.

I have done plasticard, with layers, it isn't very good ( I suck at cutting)

Its the symbol for mine and my friends home made chapter. The Royal Redeemers. I haven't finished the fluff yet, its almost done though.

I'll try plastcard again tonight.

As I've signed myself up for the Call to the Imperium... I have 2 months to paint near 1,110 points worth of Marines..all of which (besides a Terminator squad) I don't have.. I'm really depending on Christmas to pull through.

So I've mounted the Conversion Beamer onto an arm..It looks OKAY..more like decent. Not the greatest.

The biggest problem, is how it hangs.. I'm going to need to base the Master of the Forge on something tall...Just look at the pictures.

Look at how close it is to the base...and how large it is..

Hm, the beamer itself isn't bad, I actually like it, but I am not sure it will work as an underslung weapon, even on Terminators.

You could have your MotF ( I love this short version XD) hold the thing like a rocket launcher, with the most of the weight on the shoulder.

I've seen a couple really great conversions of that Conversion Beamer on bike...WELL!! What if

You put it on a attack bike, and have the MoTF sit in the side car. Like this! (or course, it would take the place of the multi-melta)

Except better of course. It works right? Since a normal bike has the same things (dual bolters and a driver) so!!

What do you think (and I'd have to take the arm off =-D )

So I saw this picture. MADE BY HONDA apparently

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j276/shortsonfire79/DeathRainRun45085.jpg

LOVED IT!! I don't remember where its from, but I think it was on the old 40KTerra.

So I started my own. I was going for a cruise missile feel, like the one in Star Wars, Jedi Starfighter. When you play as Jango Fett.

Thats not the picture I wanted, but the only one I found. As you can see, theres 3 engines, so...mine will have 3, and a tail fin. I couldn't find another BIC pen.. =-D and I took the large marker from my math teacher

I plan on basing it using the same method I did for a couple of sets of craters I did from NecroTales.

Hot glue and a toilet paper roll

New Update: 11/20/08

What kind of missile needs fins..I don't feel like going through the measuring, and straightening of a couple of fins in the back. So I'm splechting them. Yup just made that word up. I greenstuffed the seams between the two pen tubes.

I will hopefully be hotglueing this tonight. Since my chapter's fluff is against Chaos in the Orteaz sector, there is going to be a dead Chaosy under the missile...since the Deathknell Strike will be goign for the most concentrated area of infection, there's bound to be some stupid idiot not watching the skies.

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j276/shortsonfire79/IMG_19561.jpg

What do you think

Someone said over on the new 40KTerra...

Er if some thing crashed in to/near you Youred be about 20yard over there> at least

My Reply?

Mmmm. right.. =-D Didn't think about that...heh heh... well, before the guy got hit..he was stuck to the ground..by super glue. So he saw it coming, but couldn't move. =-D Hahahaha
