Fenrisian Wolf Models

I would love to get my hands on some Fenrisian Wolves, but I can't really find any appropriate modles.

The closest I could find on GW's site was the Doom Wolf which isn't quite what I wanted.

Well, or at least not at £7 per model

Which plastic models would you peeps recommend?

The wolfs from the Goblin Wolf Riders are also very popular. But my personal favorite is this little pet for my Rune Priest.

There are many posts about what models to use for fenrisian wolf models and such, including here.

I myself prefer the goblin wolf rider wolves, they're perfect to scale, and easy to attain.

Thanks, I did search both B&C and GWs site but nothing really came up.

I'll PM a mod to get this added to the bitz section in the SW forum FAQ...

The new Chaos Wolves, definately. A bit of GS to cover the more mutated areas, 10 for £12 and you get a load of spares to boot.

I've built about 30 of these buggers so far and I still don't see fenrisian wolves coming out of them, no matter how much green stuff you add.

I used some reaper warlord minis.... I forget exactly what they called them, I believe they were elven war dogs. Thats where my IC bodygaurd pair comes from.

If I was doing 13nth co? Wolf Riders all the way man.

I found an idea on Youtube where someone used wargs from the Lord of the Rings Warg riders box, 5 wargs and a bunch of little orc riders which can be discarded or used for something else, I don't know

anyway, these are some big wolves and they look far more realistic than most of the stuff GW do

I'm sorry but I don't see how wargs are more realistic in any way than a goblin wolf rider wolf, also a fenrisian wolf model is more like a goblin wolf rider wolf than a warg, a warg doesn't even look like a wolf to begin with. ;)

Also the scale is wrong for them... Trust me, the goblin wolf rider wolves are the way to go.

This is a Moor Hound from Reaper Miniatures. The one arm/paw is movable to vary the pose.

I have two of these that accompany my Wolf Lord. They are as big a a power armoured marine and suit being paired with terminator armoured characters.

Mongoose Publishing has some "DoomWolves" models, 2 per blister and just toss the riders. I've not bought these or used this vendor but Googling brough these up:

Reaper has some interesting Dire wolf and other wolf models as well.
