Here are some quick picks of the finished model. I need to clean up some stuff & dull coat it yet so I’ll take some final-final pics before I call my Librarium Challenge completed.

Most definitely intentional Twist. The red on the crew member is the maroon of the Martian Adeptus. You’ve got to honor the machine god if you expect the dice to roll your way on the gaming table. I also tend to paint the weapon casing in a darker shade as well.

Here’s a couple other examples:

The helm on the attack biker...is that the FW red scorpions version? Its sweet

That’s correct. If you look back in my gallery, I try to give all my regular Assault Marines that helmet. It just looks so… aerodynamic.

I'm glad all your pictured marines are helmeted, Mr Swallow will be pleased. ;)

When Mr. Swallow supplies sculpted helmets for all my scout squads then I’ll worry about meeting his fluff expectations.

Imagine what it’s like when the AS get together for a group picture.

AS Photographer: Ok marines, rank up for the yearly picture – and none of them wise cracks about, ”Did you get my good side?”

AS Chapter: <…>

AS Photographer: Ok now everyone smile.

AS Chapter: <…>

AS Photographer: Ok, don’t keep me waiting – I said everyone…

AS Chapter: <…>

AS Photographer: Marine! Far left in the second row – you’re not smiling!

AS Chapter: <…>

AS Photographer: I said smile marines! By the god-Emperor and all that’s holy, SMILE!

AS Chapter: <…>

AS Picter: *click*

AS Photographer: Finally! *looks at picture* Good job brothers, exactly the same as last year.

AS Marine, far left, second row: Sorry sir, I think I closed my eyes for that one.

AS Photographer: G’ol darn it! Stay in formation marines, we’ve got it take it again…

i also forgot to add how i like how straight the split is(do you use low tack duct-tape?) i never seem to be able to do that right, so i gave us tring to do it full stop.

I'd be interested in the answer to this too, as well as how you get the split so straight on your marines as well :P

I'd be interested in the answer to this too, as well as how you get the split so straight on your marines as well

The split is mainly freehand – which tends to get easy after you paint up 4,000 pts or so (I think I’m getting close to 5K now).

For a large model like the LRR, I’ll measure to find the exact midpoint and then trace it out with a micron pen. That’s not to say that you don’t make mistakes. You just need to be willing to clean them up or strategically place battle damage to cover over them.

For the marines, it’s easy to find the middle given the detail on the model itself. I would suggest that anyone who wants to do split or quartered theme to give freehand a try. It’s not as tough as it may appear.

Where did you get those front decorative armor pieces on the Razorback?

They are from the Sisters of Battle Exorcist Tank. I bought those bits back when you could purchase them directly from GW. How I miss those times…

Thanks for the comments gents. Cheers, -OMG
