I, RavenGuard2010 of the Raven Guard, vow on the honour of my Chapter to paint and present at least a Space Marine Librarian and Veteran Vanguard squad on or before the 31st of March, 2011. I, Chapter Master Ignis Domus(I hate typing that out), of the Liber Astartes(I think), vow on the honour of my Chapter(the Iron Flames and becides, this chapter doesn't much honor. Maybe I should try "on the honor of that piece of rock I found sitting outside the fortress-monastery recently.) to paint and present at least Chapter Master Ignis Domus(I knew I'd get to him one day. I think he's my tenth or eleventh oldest model.), 4 honor guard, 3 bikers, an attack bike, Marneus Calgar(who is being used as my first company captain), a dreadnought, a Land Speeder, seven regular marines, two scouts, on or before the 31st of March, 2011. (Note that this is subject to an upwards change in model count, but never downwards. Hopefully you won't notice when I change it to paint a single tac marine.) I promise to provide at least two WIP updates, preferably with pictures(define "picture". If it means "reasonably clear and well-taken photo", I'm dead.), in that time. I vow that if I should fail, I will provide the Librarium with an article(though they'll probably reject it out of fear and disgust) and wear the Signature of Shame(Which is what?) until my penitence period is done.

I, Pate of the Blood Angels, vow on the honour of my Chapter to paint and present at least 10 Assult Marines, a 5 man Death Company, a Land speeder Typhoon, a Sanguinary Priest and a Captain with Honour Guard. Counting 1000 points and a total of 22 minis and a veichle, on or before the 31st of March, 2011. I promise to provide at least two WIP updates, preferably with pictures, in that time. First post updated with the list of participants. If your name has a '?' next to it, it means I'm not sure of which subforum you're pledging towards. I'll PM you eventually to find out which one but if you could just update your original vow to clarify, it would be appreciated.

A number of questions have come up in PM and other threads. Firstly, you have to select one subforum to pledge to even if you have some units that come under other subforums. It just keeps things simpler overall and for me. Secondly, you can provide updates in an existing or new WIP thread or in this thread. If you do your updates in another thread, just leave a link in your vow post or make another post when you make the new WIP topic :)

Also, there will be a number of extremely small participation prizes throughout the challenge. These will be a number of limited edition B&C poker cards that I have in my possession. Look, shiny!

These will be given out in the following way:

• One card to the person with the fanciest/funniest vow (please just leave your name, the subforum you're vowing for and the amount of models clear or in bold if you go for this)
  
• One each to three people with the biggest completed vows
  
• One each to eight randomly drawn people who have managed to complete their vows
  
• One each to the first three people who get a Librarium article in after failing

*Vow modified from the stock statement slightly because ... well ... I know things. :devil: :)

 

Note on the change to my vow - I'm adjusting the models promised in order to work this project in tandem with another Homegrown Rules project. And for those of you that are looking at the sissified nature of the vow (only two models? and one of them is a servo skull?!!!) I have a string of 2 failures in a row in these projects. I'm trying to find a promise that I can actually keep. ;)

 

Stepping out of character, I recommend that a variety of signature banners be provided in order to prevent the problems we've had in the past where the single banner size provided filled the max allowed dimensions and a lot of members simply added the image to their existing signature with other images, thereby violating the forum rules. I can provide assistance, if needed, in creating penalty images in varying sizes.
