PATH TO REDEMPTION

The Shadow Guard

Recommended Posts

I'm done. The updated post with pictures is here.

Excellent Cactus, that brings the last of ourDouble oaths for September to completion. Nice work with the librarian. I always wondered how the old metal models would look on the larger plastic bases, especially models like your librarian which have their feet close together and don't have a wide spread-out stance compared to the latter day plastics... You've done well..

Pfff... took way more time than it should,or, 'better', I had less time than I thought :o.

edit: points total: 205 (powerweapon, plasmacannon, meltagun (well, either that or a flamer or a plasmagun, so I took the average).

Ok, so just notced the vow, its 4:16pm, I reckon I can do my first vow and get in on the act...

So, by midnight, I vow to finish one demi-tactical squad and a captain from the Dark Vengeance set. 6 models in 7 hours and 40 mins...

I finished my vow for September - however, the machine spirit of my picter has been upset for the past week, so I need to apologize for the extremely crappy cellphone-pic:

Better pic with detail shots next week (hopefully Tuesday) when my camera is back from repair.

I didn't finished my PTR vow, the Land Raider, in time and I'll bear the mark of shame. As it is, only one sponson is painted. The other one isn't even glued together. Heavy bolter turret is almost completed. Hull details are at the beginning of shading.

Brothers I have completed my vow for September. First part was an Interrogator-Chaplain with plasma pistol for 135 points. Second part is a Company Master with power sword for 115 points. Here is a finished pic, rest can be found in my original post. Click here

Almost forgot about this! Work and real life is such a burden :( September Vow complete.

And the last few days work:

I'm not happy with this guy but it is the first marine I have done for quite a long time, I'll probably revisit this guy and fix parts over time. I found I really like the "Macragge Blue" so may go back to my very first Chapter at some point!

Unfortunately due to various circumstances, I can no longer commit to this challenge ;)

I will get my DA minis painted, but unfortunately some other (real life) things have to take priority over them and because of that I doubt I'll have the amount of time necessary to be able to meet challenge deadlines.

Good luck to everyone still competing though :(

Some nice models on show here, need to spend more time on the forum.

Posting to say I have completed my september vow and have both edited my original vow post in this thread and posted in my own thread for the subject.

I will take a proper look at some of the stuff here and post comments on those that grab my attention.

recon0321, the photo perhaps doesn't show it off to the best effect as the colour looks a little flat although you have done a neat job on keeping it clean and not letting the colours bleed into each other. I am not sure about the colour of the dreadnought's fist, it doesn't quite work for me but good work. Will you be basing him?

http://www.fortressoftheunforgiven.com/Path_to_Redemption_Poster_01.jpg

The Inner Circle of the Unfogiven has deemed it not only a necessity but also an honour in the name of the most benevolent emperor of man and our paternal primarch, the lord of the first legion, that a brief respite of 24 hours be given to those struggling on their march towards redemption. That the journey matters is beond dispute but this one last respte is all that stands between redeeming those who have stumbled in the eyes of the Lion and the eagle!

OCTOBER OATHS WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED FROM 0600 HOURS GMT TUESDAY 02 OCTOBER 2012
