Fluff for Skyrar's Dark Wolves

We were driven away... by our so called ''brothers'' for what we were betrayed by our most trusted brethren is a question to be asked. Not the wisest can tell the answer, why the unthankfull emperor threw us away like an old peace of bread, we did what he told what we got for it was thin air. They called us heretics for something we never did, they said we had murdered the fifth company of the blood wolves. But the truth might never be revealed couse what I saw with my bare eyes was something they may never belive, so it would be pointless to mention it. So we fled from the unthankfull imperium, we fled till we got shelter from the welcoming godess Skyrar. She gave us bread and she did not ask for anything in return. But we knew that skyrars warm fur could not give us protection forever. So we had no one else to turn to then the serveants of the Dark gods. Most refused to aid us but some few agreed the most from the world eater legion and the flawless host as long as we promise them battle, and battle was what they got. The Ordo Hereticus caught us while we were on a ride for resources in the fenris sector, and that was a battle to remember. The sisters made a mighty foe but we gave them hell, we fought with fang and claw and for our godess skyrar, our new brothers fought well we were very impressed by the speed strenght and skill wich they fought with they had no fear for death, thanks to our new coragous brothers we were victorious. We feasted in many days for our new brothers, they told us about their Dark gods wich gave them power and courage they even asked us to join the mighty armies of chaos, we promised to fight and conquer for the glory of chaos but not to give our souls away, for our godess can not be replaced

thank you for reading i might update it later

C&C welcome!

I'd say you've got a good starting point. Nice touch with the narrative style. It's got quite a few typos, though. And I'm not sure you should use the Wolf Brothers, they were a Second Founding Chapter that was destroyed not long after their creation, so that means your Renegades have been around for an extremely long time (Which is still technically possible, but then the Flawless Host probably wouldn't be there). I'd change it to a more obscure Chapter (Maybe the Red Wolves, Tigers Argent, or another like that).

Otherwise, I think you're off to a good start. Keep working at it.

now i'll make some notes that space wolves found written by the dead ordo hereticus leaders

-have cult troops from both khorne and slaanesh

-close combat specialists preffered weapons lightning claws

-have developed a own combat style wich reminds of a beasts

-they fight with suck a ferocity and anger that they forget fear and pain

-battle cry BY MY FANG AND CLAW

-often have a red scar painted over their eye (both helmet and bare face)and have fur on their armor often also the whole helmet is red

Wow, great job making Skyrar a Goddess due to (spelt with 2 ds)

1. We don’t see to many goddesses in 40k which is a shame

2. I didn’t want my wolfs having some guys name in their name. (Cause it limits the ability to have cool lords cause there is always one above them)

I am assuming Skyrar is a lesser Chaos God(dess)

I am going to be honest and mean no insult but your writing style leaves allot to be desired, this may only have been due to this being only a rough draft (It witch case never mind) . I hope to see a finished version soon. I am considering the Skyrar wolfs as well (though am waiting to see what orks and the daemon codex brings to the table before I commit to building an army) but I will definitely join in on the goddess bandwagon, maybe if we talk about it so much we can make it canon. I didn’t really like slannesh being in there (as I previous viewed the Chaos wolves being all for Khorne) but after thinking about it I could imagine some of them becoming obsessed with their newfound goddess.

I like the red mark through the eye (reminds me of scar in the old lion king movies) The own fighting style idea makes since, kind of like Space wolves but more like starving, ravaging wolfs instead of a well ordered wolf pack.

Either way I love what your doing with this and am behind ya 100%. My resources are of course limited and I suck at modeling and painting but am decent at writing fluff so any help (like proofreading or suggestions for the finished article before you submit it to the Librarium) just PM me or post on this topic

Also the Skyrar wolves didn’t have anything to do with the Huron article, totally separate things there

SKYRARS DARK WOLVES

The Dark Wolves are a recently formed warband that now threatens the Fenris Sector

ORIGINS

Skyrar’s Dark Wolves are a recently organized renegade warband centered around the previous 8th Great Company before Sven Bloodhowl was elevated to the rank of Wolf Lord. The Great Company had been declared excommicates be the Ordo Hereticus in response to a inncendet whitch saw the Space Wolves 5th Great Company devastated. Though the 8th company pleaded innocence the Ordo would not back down, despite the protests of the Great Wolf Logan Grimnar, due to lack of factual evidence. The company , at the time around 250 marines, was pursed into the Maelstrom and not heard from sense. Recently the Renegades were discovered in the Fenris Sector accompanied by elements of the World Eaters Legion and the Renegade Warband, The Flawless Host. The Ordo Herecticus engaged with a Large IG contingent lead by the Order of our Martyred Lady. The battle, mainly occurring in space, was lost due to several boarding actions in which the Sisters and imperial Guard forces were poorly suited. During the engagement the Dark Wolves were discovered to be obedient to a previous unheard of lesser Chaos Power called Skyrar, of what we known the chaos power reveals itself as a goddess of hospitality, and seems to attract those looking for sanctuary from the Imperium and forging new bonds of brotherhood that they are unable to find elsewhere. While not near as powerful as the 4 Dark Powers, Skyrar is rising in influence as many pirates and excommunicated forces are fleeing from persecution to her protection.

ORGANIZATION

The Warband in found to be exclusive to only renegades of the Space Wolves chapter. Of witch the warbands size is climbing alarmingly as previous traitors from that chapter are flocking to its banner, eager to reclaim the lost bonds of brotherhood only ones of Russes Gene seed can understand. Little else is known besides this, other than that the warbands within the Dark Wolves often retain the titles they held in the Space Wolves chapter such as Wolf Lord and Wolf Guard. Veterans of the Warbands commonly designate themselves by ritually scarring themselves across their left eye, a mark they also make on their helmets.

HOMEWORLD

The Dark Wolves function from their Battle Barge the Wolf’s Vengence, they refuse to call anywhere home but Fenris, and seek to reclaim it as their own.

COMBAT DORCTRINES

The Warbands seem to retain their previous tactics they used before their fall, though they now act less like a well organized wolf pack and more like starved, desperate, ravaged wolfs backed into a corner. They prefer Close Combat but not to the extent that they will sacrifice heavy weapons and vehicles.

GENESEED

The Geneseed of the Dark Wolves is exclusively from the Space Wolves Stock. Renegade marines from other chapters are not accepted.

BELIEFS

The Dark Wolves view the Imperium as corrupted and the Space Wolves as Oathbreakers. They view chaos as a force that can be beneficial is used correctly, a such they will make deals and packs with daemons but will never sell their souls to them as they belong only to Skyrar. The Dark Wolves seek to free the Imperium from their corrupt High Lords, starting with Fenris.

BATTLECRY

BY MY FANG AND CLAW! THE GODDESS WILL ARISE!

What do you think of that Angry Angron, any changes ya want? Of course you can use that I encourage you to.

I am considering it, but im just a poor college student so money is limited. I am gonna wait to when the Deamons Book comes out and see what thattl bring but I am learning towards it. Also I have about 200$ of Eldar to buy to finish that army as well. Hopefully by the time I do that the Daemons book will come out and later the SW stuff may come out and I could get alot of great SW bits for the Dark Wolves

*Hmm* this might be what I have been looking for. Love the wolfish theme about SW, and I like the chaos codex. But best of all, I have 60 unassembled SW-figures :)

Just need to buy some more termintors then

Think I´ll join this Skyrar Dark Wolves-train.

Im thinking about mixing CSM and SM parts, like the 13th company, or just go for SW/SM-parts.

Have you thought about squadmarkings?

It would look good, if they still used the SW-version, and forming packs.

The army Im planning out, is going to have normal CSM and Khorne Berzerkers.

The berzerkers will be Dark Wolves, with the Wulfen-flaw.

What colours, are you going to use? It looks like a darkgrey, with some blue in it.

But weren't Skyrar's Wolves those Space Wolves turned reneage on the Strike Cruiser Huron Blackheart boarded? That's what I was told...

No. Those Wolves were a handful of traitors which were then provided the ship in return to their loyalty and service to Huron. They are now Red Corsairs.
