I had this idea that terminators (chaos or SM) could be converted to much nicer looking obliterators but I'm sure iy has been done before. Anyone have an idea where I might find some ideas or even better some pictures of converted terminators? Already been thinking about combining Terminators and (big) orcs but don't know if that's feasable at all. Any ideas are very welcome Thanks! Night Stalker Posted June 30, 2008 Share Posted June 30, 2008 i did mine as librarians with two-handed force weapons. basicaly they hold zweihander in their right hand, and they have their other hand empty. terminator body [with loincloth] + any zweihander/extended single handed sword + tzeentch head from CSM set. i like it very much. I don't think orks, even the black or mega armoured variety are quite as large as the new plastic termies. A BIG ork like Gazghull might work though. Yeah, it has Perfesser Pattern Obliterator Mk II. The Mk I version is more gribbly. I have a ton of ideas for Obliterators that aren't Obliterators (but I ain't giving them away :blush: ) Just think "Marine + Guns = Obliterator" and fill in 'Marine' and 'Guns' with your imagination. Or try "Marine + Guns + ________= Obliterator" and fill in the blank too. Then picture how it would all work together. Here's one I won't try as an example: Servo Harness Techmarine with a head swap (beastman head?) + two plasma guns and two plasma cannons + a bike modified into a Segway = Obliterator. Mount the cannons on the Segway fenders and the guns or pistols on the handlebars.... Actually, that one would be pretty freaking cool. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Let me tell you, doing over twenty doghouse marines exactly the same is VERY tiresome, so tell me they're good. :D And these, At any rate, I got a bit more done with some quick paint jobs on 3 Strelbans. I finally worked out a reasonable possibility for what they could be - vaguely like my previous explanation but more refined. Yes, ridiculously over-constructed Servitors. Thankfully, the older Obliterator figures, whilst not being the best of sculpts, fill this role very well indeed, and it was nice not painting the entire arm white. I merely included some hints towards the army colour scheme instead, which I feel looks better on these figures. The weaponary morphs out from the body - it's in a state of flux. Try more biological things prahaps; adapt some tyranid weapons and blend it in with green stuff. Or go all out with the archotech and cobble together oblitorators from anything to hand.I saw one the other week ontracks and with componants from Space Crusade, Hero Quest and other ancient things I couldnt identify.
