I've got sizable DH and WH forces, and it disturbs me to see no mention of either in the "Warriors of the Future" in the current US WD or in the Apoc reloaded ToC, above.

It's definitely awesome that they've included data-sheets for the First and Tenth Companies. I'm curious about the 'Deathknell' (awesome name) and 'Skyhammer', though. It can't be anything from Forgeworld, which rules out a Damocles, so I'm guess it must involve either a bunch of Drop Pods or 3+ Thunderhawks

Oh, and the stormlord is supposedly the cheesesword: A transport based on the baneblade chassis holding 40 models and equipped with a vulcan mega-bolter. Supposedly it's open-topped, so passengers can shoot and the VMB can shoot twice if it hasn't moved. So, who's parking 8 devastators squads with 4 plasma cannons each in a bunker that shells 30 St6 Ap 3 shots?

The hard part is PAINTING them. (I'm only ~30% done.) I thought painting a battle company was hard.
As for the stormlord... I see it more as a way to hold a full platoon of guard in something that is immune to bolter fire... -------------------- If at first you don't succeed, use a bigger gun. ~anon

i have got about 55 terminators so i would need another 45
and only about 10-15 of the 55 have paint(note i didnt say finished just have paint and yes i am definatly going to increase the number with the black reach box(but only because i want the cheap orks i hate that there is another stompa i wonder whats different about this one compared to the other 2 its as if gw is trying to get me to build one but i must resist my orks dont need one i must resist the coolness of a stompa some of the names for things sound like they are made up to make people exited because i havnt got a clue what half of the things are like tetragon of darkness what is it? it reminds me of my maths teacher i am sure a tetragon is a shape maby gw is trying to tell us math is evil! the great promenade of excess sounds cool and i am going to make a little guess and say it is slaanesh so i may have something with a cool name to add to my army yay something with a cool name for slaanesh it will probly be something with really rubish rules now i have said that i wonder if the orbital strike force is like a drop pod thing or if its big nuking laser from the sky kind of thing the tyranids names sound abit worrying like living fortress and eye of the hive i wonder what lord castellans supreme command is its sounds cool because it has supreme in the name its weird there is no inquisitor or dark eldar stuff although i guess the inquisitors can use stuff from space marines and guards and the only reason they need to give is because the inquisitor wants it and dark eldar didnt seem to have much in the first book so its weird they didnt get anything in this one maby they dont use alot of the big things or maby they can use eldar stuff without much of a reason(i dont know much dark eldar fluff) -------------------- even if the voices aren't real

Why does no one seem to realize that a typical 1st Co. only has 50 Terminators while the rest are Veterans?

If the Ultramarine Honour Guard are in this, I doubt they will be in the next Space Marine codex.

I don't have 100 termies, but I do have an entire first company as dictated in the 3rd ed SM codex of 75 tactical dreadnought suits and 25 more vets in PA. So I think it counts. -------------------- |

I was thinking about picking up the the Marcharius Vulcan but went with the Vanquisher instead, not knowing about that shooting twice rule. It'll go great with with my Gorgon - super heavy transports for everyone! Now, anyone know what the latin words for Cheese and Sword are? That'll make a great name. -------------------- This is our purpose: to make as meaningful as possible this life that has been bestowed upon us; to live in such a way that we may be proud of ourselves; to act in such a way that some part of us lives on.

Why does no one seem to realize that a typical 1st Co. only has 50 Terminators while the rest are Veterans? I'm certain this fact will be reflected in the 1st Company Datasheet: "up to 20 Terminator squads and up to 10 Sternguard squads and possibly up to 10 Vanguard squads, all adding up to 100 squad members", or something like that. It probably won't be all terminators. This post has been edited by vytzka: Jul 5 2008, 10:26 AM -------------------- I think it has something to do with the kind of person the IF chapter attracts. Where is this info that a first company only has 50 TDA suits located?
The only source I have seen was in the third ed SM codex that states 74 suits of TDA are in the ultramarine first company. (I use that as a basis of generic average for chapters access to TDA) -------------------- |
