Before everyone starts in about the armour not being right ;)

this mini was free with my Whitedwarf subscription and being a metal loyalist i had no use for him and he was too much of a PITA to convert easily

so i decided to take a break from my Red/Black/Brass World Eaters and try a Blue/White WorldEater instead.

he's not destined for anything mainly just to give me a chance to paint a different colour or 2 but keep with my Beloved Legion!

Very nice, but I think it would add an even higher sense of realism to it if he had some sort of battle wear and tear, chips, scratches etc. But apart from that very nice model. White is very nice.

Very cool, sweet model with a sweet paintjob. I really like the chainsword although the blood is a bit over the top for me, I prefer my marines to look very clean. It looks very good and works very well with the model, keep up the great work.

many thanks for the kind words :)

...After reading the HH novels i am actually taking a bit of a liking to the World Eaters! Nice one :)

as you should Worldeaters ROCK! Badass incarnate!

... That white is lovely, is it vallejo?

actually it's Dheneb Stone with some white added for the final highlights (god i love the foundation paints, this was even over a black undercoat)

Any chance of telling us how you did that gore splatter and made it looks so...messy and real?

i did a tutorial in the librarium (Linkage)

That's an awesome paintjob. The World Eater blood spatter really fits the pose somehow. Like he's emerging from a bloodbath...

Is the paint just "black undercoat - dheneb stone - skull white" or is there more complicated layering?

The blood on this Marine just works for some reason. The paintjob looks splendid, and I don't think you could have a smoother white. The raggedy stump at his legs and brick wall work great in tandem to the model, and blend well with the scene. Great job and I personally think you should do a small squad's worth. :P
