Due to some negative post that where uncalled for, that where posted on my 40k Radio world wide war & my GT report. I am going to make this as clear as I can (since my request in these topic they where ignore). If you do not like tournaments (eg: just moan about them), do not like the type of list a person use or your just going to post negative snidy stupit comments that in no way add to this topic or are not true... please don't. I go to tournaments with a list I think dose well as long as it by the codex/rules & I post these report as somthing to look back that & to show people/friends how great events I have had & show them the good side of tournaments & how much of a good laught I had during that day. So if your going to post about my/other people army list in a negative way or say stuff that is in no way true (like way my list works). Please don't & use your commen sence, also it pretty rude. For those who come here to look & enjoy my report, sorry for the above & thanks for taken the time to read it Hope you all enjoy it :D So for those who seen my report (40k Radio world wide war & GT). I am now in my third tournament with in a month, first one with my Iron Warriors was 40k Radio World wide war held in Edinbrugh that 1750pts, then two weeks after that I was attending the Grand Tournament heat 1 down in Nottingham. Both these report can be seen by my profile or just looking that the chaos area ;) Now onto today tournament which is Stirling Rapid Fire. Stirling wargaming club (I attend to) run a tournament once per year for three games in a might one day. Where we do our best to get other gamers from other clubs & Games Workshop around Scotland to attend & basicly have a laught, met new people & play some games of our great hobby. Rapid Fire been running since 2005 & I been attending the event since 2006 (on that note it also thanks to this event I now attend Stirling wargamers). So here a account on my games & of the day in general. For those who have not seen my 40k Radio WWW or GT. My reports are mainly tons of cool photos with a little writen because I belive photos speak louder than words on the fourms & it a lot cooler to be honsty than writen some random rubbish & trying rememeber ever detail. Now first thing first my Army list. This year our games where Round 1 - 1500pts, 5 object, 100 for your own 200 for the opppent each I might add Round 2 - 1750pts, 1 Object each, 100 for your own, 200 for the oppents object Round 3 - 2000pts, Kill points, you get victoy point for the units you kill No taken away from units or adding onto your units, eg: No adding a extra 2 Space Marines to that five man combat squad from 1500 to your 1750pts. So basicly +250 pts of new units per round My list Iron Warriors 5th Grand Company HQ Warsmith Abhorred Riddick (Daemon Prince), Wings - 130 Elites Squad 7: Tormentia, 4x Termies arm with Power Weapon & combi Plasma - 140 Squad 8: Proeliator 4x Termies arm with Power Weapon & Combi Plasma - 140 Troops Squad 1: Iupatus Proeliator 9 Chaos Space Marines, Plasma Gun, Heavy Bolter, Icon of Glory Champ, Power Weapon - 215 Rhino, Extra armour - 50 Squad 2: Be Graphicus 9 Chaos Space Marines, Plasma Gun, Heavy Bolter, Icon of Glory Champ, Power Weapon - 215 Rhino, Extra armour - 50 Squad 3: Apocalypse 9 Chaos Space Marines, Melta Gun, Heavy Bolter, Icon of Glory Champ, Power Weapon - 215 Rhino, Extra armour - 50 Heavy Support: Squad 5: Excessus Fillius 2 Oblits - 150 Squad 4: Oburo 2 Oblit - 150 Total 1500pts Troops: 5 Chaos Space Marines, Plasma gun, Icon of Glory - 100 Heavy Support: Predator tank, Twin Lascannon, Heavy Bolter, Extra armour Total 1750 Elites: Chosen - Fallen Angels 10 Chosen, Plasma Pistol, 3x Plasma Guns, Icon of Glory - 250 Total 2000pts http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v473/ironwarriors/insane%20psycopath/Stirling%20tournament/Rapid%20Fire%2008/DSC03733.jpg So now onto the games Round 1, Battle for the glory of Chaos Mission the one with d3 counters + 2, but for reason of this event, 5 counter. You get VP for each one, 100pts for holding your own (each) & 200 for the enemy. Oppent: Ian Army: Black Legion Army list: 2x Lash Prince, unit of Death Guards, unit of Thasound sons with Rhino, unit of Bezerker in Rhinos, unit of 5 Chosen with Plasma Guns in Rhino, 2x 2 Oblits, Predators Points: 1500pts Result: Draw For those who read my 40k Radio world wide war report. Ian was the oppent with the Slannesh army I fought in Round 2 & it was a tough yet fun game that tested ever bit of your brain. Finding that Ian was my first oppent I was filled with dread :) but same time I knew I was getting a good sport oppent. The game was swing from side to side where Black Legions would have a few more object that me, then when it started going into extra time I was luck to get some last ditch attemp like my Termies taken on what was left of Ian Bezerker in close combat. Also to keep with tradition, I ram a Rhino into the side of a immobile Predator. For those who did not ready my 40k Radio world wide report, I done this vs Ian & his Slannesh Rhino..... but mine blow up This time, no damnge was done... then again it was not the Rhino from last time & it was not ram a Slannesh Rhino. Was VP of some sort, more for holding your oppent object & a set amount for holding your own. I don't have the pack that hand & to lazy to get it Oppent: Sorry man forgot your name Army: Necrons Army list: Necron lord (really nice converted to look like general grievous from Star Wars), 4x units of 10 Necrons I think??, 4 Destroyers, 2 Monliths, 2x Tomb Spyder 1750pts Win Another close hard fought game & if the game went a extra turn who knew what could have happen. Also I am getting a big bit of deja vu as during the Grand Tournament that round 2, I fought a Necrone army (Rich) with the same sort set up, it was the same mission, I set up to the right table quater... just everthing of the game remind me of my game vs Rich in the GT. :lol: It was a hard fought battle & was one these games where it really did play out a proper battle sence/story/like a moive. Everthing you can ask for in a game happen. I won due to holding the Necron object. Oppent Dave Army Tau Army, Battle suit commander, three squads of battle suits, 2 unit of 8 Fire warriors in tank, 2x Kroot units, Hammer Head, Light armour skimmer, Battle suit with twin rail guns. Result Win. 2000pts Now those who read my 40k GT report will seen my comment on Tau. Everone had that one army that you do worry about face against because you do not do well vs them. For me Tau are my bane army. But seem the chaos gods favour me. Again Dave was a good & relax oppent like my two previos (sp) oppent have been & this was his first tournament (his friend seen my tournament ad on this site :D ). I also learnt a good way for deal with Tau now with my army. Once everone was finish we sat down to see who won what award & then got our result in. I came 4th overall on the gaming front & I was also told I was second on the best army front. My friend Donzo who is also manger of GW Falkirk won the tournament overall with his Daemons & won best army/painting award by a mere one more vote than me. I voted for his army as though there not much in the way of conversion it is really nicely painted & those that seen 40k Radio report will seen my comment how he made the army in a week & then painted it in a mere two weeks. For me I am happy for those that the event to think highly of my Iron Warriors as on the model & painting front I have put a lot work into my 5th Iron Warriors army (aka Mk5) Photos can be seen here (still upload so want to see the full lot check back by 10pm) http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v473/iro...id%20Fire%2008/ Was a good mix of armies that the event, though no Imperial Guards (rarely seen any of them so far), Dark Angels & Witch hunters/Sister of battle. But also note the new codex Marines was NOT use due to not being out for a month. So enjoy the event, 1 draw & 2 wins (like 2006 when I came 2nd overall) So one more tournament in Nov in Edinbrugh. My Tournaments so far with armies have been 40k Radio Jet Bike Eldar Slannesh Chaos Jet Bike Eldar GT Mech Eldar Necron Mech Chaos Mech Tau Dark Angels with a bit of everthing Mech Marines Rapid Fire Mech Chaos Necron Mech Tau Ever army I have fought so far in the tournaments has had some fourm of tanks. Also if you want to see what I pick the units I did, check my Grand Tournament report http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/index.p...=148913&hl= I will add in 5 Man squad, was merely baby sitting object in round 2 though when I say that dose not mean they will sit & do nothing through out the game. The did do a fair amount of damnge. But took them for reason Phil Kelly said he took grots or Guardien in his armies. Pred, be honsty I not use my IW pred in a year now. 150pts needed to bring them to 1750pts. Also my other two Oblits from 40k Radio are sort of in bits & can't be bother repair them & re-painting Chosen, I needed a unit that cost a lot points. Also I made them as Fallen Angels because I did not wish to make a IW version due to they would have only been use for this event, I did not wish to weaste bits I need for my IWs or the GW Inks (no longer on sale). I made them Fallen Angles because they have a shot in the future to be a army/project. Also the unit cost 250pts ment not a lot of painting to do after the GT & I also wanted to try out the Flank rule as well which work great. I think my Dark angels want a word with you about those fallen. ;) It's good to hear about all these friendly good natured tournament games. It gives me a sense of optimism in the leadup to heat two. Congratulations on finishing 4th, pity to finish one place from the medals so to speak but a great result nonetheless. Well done. The only thing about your reports I can fault is the length of the pages. For some reason these tournament threads of yours seem to go on forever before we get a second page. Saying about that the person that came 3rd was 4pts above me as well in term of the VP we got in Kill Point mission & with Donzo & person came 2nd it was close in term of points (both them had three solid wins) & all came down to the victory points. So again like 40k Radio & GT all the games have been made harder & really tested you. Like wise as said with the painting, beaten by one vote ^_^ It's good to hear about all these friendly good natured tournament games. It gives me a sense of optimism in the leadup to heat two. For some reason these tournament threads of yours seem to go on forever before we get a second page. So much to scroll through. ;) I got to exsplain people about the set up of the tournament & army list :D .
