Here are my new 'Company Veterans', whilst not purely "Sternguard' they are armed correctly with their special ammo bolters and they do hit the table as SG when I play 'Green Marines'

Enjoy

I'm a bit late to the party but here's a picture of the Sternguard squad I made a couple of years back. Not the best painting I know but I like the poses and cohesive look of the models.

So Sternguard Veteran squad Zarv, attached to the 3rd Company reporting for duty!

Lovely stuff on here guys!

Here's my Sternguard so far. They were actually the first marine I painted for my army 8 years ago. It's fitting that now due to no bits service they are now my vets, as I can't make them anymore! Hope you like! (Apologies for the photos, taken using a mobile with a desk lamp as a light source in a dark room....kinda bleaches the paintwork and makes them look shoddy, they are much better in person...honest :P

Squad 2. Rarely used, not really equipped for modern vet squads.

As a little extra, my objective markers, Shrines of Fallen Heroes for my sternguard to valiantly protect!

Very nice indeed. Just my 2 cents, but personally, I would have chosen a different color for the shrines (maybe light grey) to avoid some kind of "birthday cake syndrome" ;)

The shrines are a great idea anyway and your stern guards are pretty cool as well, and the freehands are very well done. So congrats for this brushwork. :)

Cheers dude! Yeah I was going for a sandy marble with red veins, but they did come out looking kind of birthday cakey! But hey ho, thats how my guys roll! Cheers for the comments!
