They may also do a tournament of those who competed and completed their armies. I decided to do the Daemons. Here is my list and what I have assembled so far. The contest started on the 17th of November, so I need to have this all done by the 17th of December. Other than my DIY chapter in making, a Tzeentch/Nurgle daemon army is the other option I'm very keen to start to get back into 40K. I have played against him/her/it and let me tell you some horrors held my Hive Tyrant and three tyrant guard at bay for three turns due to that crazy reroll saves power. Very gritty and earthy. Nice job on the rusty plague swords in particular... you're knocking all these out surprisingly fast. I literally can't tell the difference between the two horror squads from the shots here though, other than some green on the faces of squad green - is this the only identifying marker you've given them? Or are they actually more green up close? Razormind Posted November 28, 2008 Author Share Posted November 28, 2008 just awoke from my Triptophan nap :-) Yeah, the spots on the horrors heads are color coded to designate the squad, maybe tomorrow I will get a better picture of two side by side and a brighter shot of the GUO. Heavy wash as in lots of Thraka Green Wash on the brush applied liberally to the GUO. That was first, then hit details on the GUO, then a standard wash of the Devlan Mud. The rust technique I picked up off of the GW site believe it or not, stipple Orange and tanned flesh on the painted sword, then wash with Thraka Green. I may game tomorrow and take a break from painting, but I dont know I am on a roll so why stop now :-) Perhaps the Beasts of Nurgle will be next, then the Flamers. Razormind Posted November 29, 2008 Author Share Posted November 29, 2008 Thanks for the comments, they keep me motivated ^_^ This is not the complete army, I just scored 6 screamers on ebay for 36 bucks and free shipping. Also still need to get 2 soul grinders to complete the minis for the full army. Left to assemble and paint: 6 screamers, 2 soul grinders Left to Paint: Fateweaver and 6 Flamers Once I have them all done, I was going to then do a group photo No updates today, I was adding wings to my Chaos Lord and painting up two last Khorne raptors for my Chaos Marine army.
