khairney Posted January 12, 2009 Share Posted January 12, 2009 welcome to the boards! really liking the marines, the green really stands out from the armour, but doesnt look to hideously out of place, iv tried it before and it looked wrong. but youv pulled it off! and the cloaks looks ace! the only things i have a gripe with is that the some of the armour highlights look a bit too blocky. next time, try blend the highlight in with some really watered down paint, or maybe just a wash might pull it off. and im not sure about the red furnishings on the weapons. they just seem to meld in with the marine, but thats just my opinion. aekold Posted January 13, 2009 Share Posted January 13, 2009 The green really makes the models stand out. Just a small gripe: You painted the skull on the handle of the sword from your chosen champion the same color as the handle itself. I always feel like the handle is wrapped with leather and the skull is some craftswork, so it should have a metal color. I use the airbrush of a friend to make the Red Gore coat on my vehicles.
