Librarium Painting Challenge: VOW COMPLETE

I have completed my vow, in the nick of time! (2 hours, 52 minutes remaining, Eastern Standard time)

 

I give thee three Marines, a Biker, and a refurbished Razorback!

The LPC was a lot of fun, and helped me churn out far more than I otherwise would have.

@ikik: I do my blues the same for every model. I brush-prime black. Then I hit all the armor with Reaper Master Series "Ultramarine Shadow." Then I go over all the armor again with Ultramarine Blue (RMS again, they sell paints in sets of three, called "triads"). I make sure to leave the shadow color in all the recesses and plate joints. Then I hit it again with Ultramarine Highlight. I've had folks ask me why I bother with the midtone, since I cover it all up anyways, to which I reply, "I have no idea." It's just my method, but I suspect that it creates a more vibrant blue when I do this, as opposed to going Shadow to Highlight without the midtone.

My edge highlights are a mix of Ultramarine Highlight and RMS Ghost White.

 

@Captain Pugno: My gold is just a coat of RMS Antique Gold, with a wash of Ruddy Leather over it. No highlights at all. Some folks think it's far too dark for gold, but I'm glad someone else likes it!

Why do all nice colour scheme's have reaper paints i can't buy that stuff in the netherlands and if i'd buy it online the shipping costs will be $16! :P
