Legion Of The Damned

Recommended Posts

After a lot of requests for more pics in the hall of fame section, I thought I'd post some of the stuff that I'm crrently working on.

Here are my Legion Servitors, they will count as deamons. Since I've been woking on this army for a while (I'm slow), I was intending to have these guys be Tzeench flamers to go with the flame fluff. But since GW decided to take a crap on the CSMs and give them a lame codexe, they will have to be lesser deamons.

Heres a detail shot of the barrel backpacks. I love the idea of one of these guys tanks getting hit by a stray round, BOOM!

Here is some of my work in progress stuff for my Legion of the damned army. I like to get all teh rank and file models out of the way for an army before I move on the the more interesting stuff (Bezerkers and Oblits are the exception to this rule).

Group shoot.

This is all of the regular bolter weilding troopers. I didn't glue the bolters in their hands so they would be easier to paint. The boters are all finished and most of them are converted.

Assuult weapons

First plasma gunner, I wanted teh assualt weapon troopers to stand out a bit so I used a devestator back pack. I like how this makes them look a bit more bulky. I'm planning something specil for the havocs, don't worry.

Here is a group shot of all the assualt weapon loonies. I;ve ordered the parts to do another plasma gun backpack. I still need to figure out how I'm going to do the flammer backpack on the original flammer LOTD model (pic doesn't show black to well, sorry).

Those look sweet! Are you going to have something that counts as a daemon prince?

Yes, I've almost got the model completed, all it needs are some claws. I'll post some pics soon. Think, Which hunter Tyrus meets a Bloodthirster :ermm:

Awesome. I simply love seeing Legion of the Damned armies. Kind of makes me think about when I first started 40k...Legion models cam out that month. Anyways, I really like what you have so far. Eager to see more. Really digging the little servitor dudes. Might have to "borrow" them for my Ad.Mech army when I start it haha.

Maybe use pure skele's as the Tzeench guys, like rubrics?

Nurgle...not sure...

Slaanesh...not sure either...

anyway, love the Servitors, love the legionnaires and the assault guys. I just love everything you do, your conversions are fantastic!

Looking forward to more!!!

Small update time. I've finished the incomplete plasma gunner I posted earlier (modeling anyway, not painted). I've also got my first flamer armed marine completed. I used the flamethrower tank from the IG line and converted it to fit onto a regular marine pack. I also like the flamers in the IG better than the marine ones. With a little trimming and a GS stock I was all set.

I really like how the conversion turned out on the flammer, but if anyone has any comments on little details to add that would make it look better, I'd appreciate it.

Just for fun, here are the 5 legionaries that I am currently painting. Not much to see yet.

I'll get to the tutorial I promised soon.

Thanks everyone.

Here is a small update showing the the servitors that I've finally managed to get some paint on. so far its pretty much base coat except for the metal. The metal has a couple layers already but it needs quite a few more since I want it to look fairly battered and neglected. Anywho, I'm still working on them but I thought you guys might like to se an update.

looking great :)

when you say battered look (i think that would look really great) are you going down the damaged/worn look or the damaged/rusty look? both could work
