First assembled Templar

This is my first real repositioning of a Marine and I'm not to great with the Green Stuff. But what do you guys think of the pose? He is supposed to jumping at an enemy. Also the backpack is off for now but it will be added later.

Thanks for any comments and/or criticisms.

He is supposed to jumping at an enemy.

He looks like he's floating :) The tabard is too static and the line from shoulder to knee is too vertical.

Quick fix to try, tilt the torso forward. This should fix the tabard and body position issues and add a bit of bend to the hips which creates a bit more dynamic. If that works for you, you'll have to retilt the head and arms.

You might want to adjust the legs slightly as he looks like he's leaping from a window or the top of a wall (which isn't a bad look actually).

P.S.: You're plenty good with the greenstuff. Very solid leg conversion.

flowing cape? Help show some movement. Also i would think a more swinging action r=with the axe. its a little static. more to the right and up would be better. that ways its a jumping hack then a floating marine w/ perfectly vertical axe. ;)

Hail Brother Templar Mathias, I really like the idea behind it, but I feel it might need a little "tweeking" to get it just right. My suggestions would be to raise him higher and "lean" him over to his left and bring the axe higher up/back to simulate jumping up and swinging down more. I as well like the finger but I feel the arm needs to be extended out further, cause it looks a little timid. What I do sometimes is actually pose myrself in the motion and you will get a better feel for how the body should look. Just make sure no one is around or they might look at ya weird  Good luck.

It's a good first attempt however I have to agree with the others in that it looks more like he just tripped. I've yet to do any major moding like you have. (Thought your post does give me a bit of enthusiasm to try!) But I would suggest turning the torso a bit so the tabard is sweeps over the knee that's pegged in to the base. Then hike up the other knee and leg so it looks more like he had just launched himself. And like the others have said raise the axe up so he looks more like he's about to cleave an enemy.

Though if you were to make it an assault marine then it could do well enough just to make him look like he's hurling himself towards the enemy via jet pack.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I'll start making some changes to him based on the suggestions given. It may take me a while but I will get some new pictures once I've finished the modifications. Also feel free to keep making suggestions as I'll continue to check on this thread. Thanks again Brothers!
