FunkyEntropy Posted March 24, 2009 Share Posted March 24, 2009 Personally, I think you'd be best off using the standard GK termie head and then adding the Iron Halo (great idea!). Could I get a look at what the setup in pic #6 looks like from the back? If you're dead set on using the head you've got, maybe consider having it rest a tiny amount farther back? Before you do that, however, try adjusting the angle of the helmet so that he's looking up or straight ahead, level with the ground. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Grand Master Tchezzarus Posted March 24, 2009 Share Posted March 24, 2009 Great idea! The head look just fine for me (maybe just use some GS to add 2 more vent on it like on the GKT). But the real chain look to big compare to the fake one's on the model. For the Halo, I vote for it on top of the armour, not the head! whatever you finally do with him, post him again when painted! Take the halberd arm that is outstreched and use that. (you know the other helberd that comes in the gktermy box) It'll look like he's scanning the battle for mutants and deamons Just my 2 cents. Well he is the Grand master right? :huh: He should have some extra details! :) 4. does it LOOK GKish enough? It's not that it doesn't look Grey Knight-y enough; it's that it doesn't look like a termy head. It's too small, and lacks that distinct terminator look. I'd say try to get a GK termy head on there, or convert one from a regular terminator head (there's a nice tutorial on this site somewhere). Failing that, I'd have to say go helmetless. The power armour head just looks out of place. Otherwise, a solid conversion. Quite nice. In fact, I'm tempted to bogart your idea myself. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Marid Posted March 26, 2009 Share Posted March 26, 2009 It looks pretty good so far. One thing I don't like is the scale of the chain around his waist. I think it is too large and makes the model look small in comparison instead of grand. The head is plain, but I don't particularly mind the size. SoulReaver296 Posted April 2, 2009 Author Share Posted April 2, 2009 Alright, its been a while... swaped the head with a converted SM terminator head for a more traditional GKT look, have removed the scroll for now till i find a lighter chain, added the halo over the "lip" over the head, and have started preliminary painting when i realized i don't know what color to make the tabbard. thoughts?
