Hello there,
After daboarder mentioned it I realized that this image has not been posted here in the Blood Angels part of the forum. This was a commission for Drachenfell. Any questions on specifics (size, armour-type, colours etc) would be best addressed to him.  Displayed at 20% of the resolution of the original painting. (note: this is NOT the version of Sanguinius I was asking for help with wargear on. This is a commission I did. It's different to the images i normally see of Sanguinius. His armour normally looks lighter and form fitting. Also it is more often golden. This Armour is heavier and more marine like, it's very impressive. I like it like i said it's different to most images of Sanguinius i have seen but you pulled it off magnificently. He really looks like the lord of a marine legion in this picture.

Well something that bothers me is that the armor is red, for BA being power armor, even though artificer armor is gold for BA.
Not to be picky, it still looks badass and amazing, probably better because he has red armor. -------------------- |

Then slowly and painfully the Blood Angel rose and seized the creature, raised it high and broke its back across his knee. Then with a halo of power playing round his head he tossed its broken carcass back amid its followers. They beat their chests and rent their hair and wailed in dismay as the Ultimate Gate shut. |

I don't mind his armor being red. Horus in the "Visions" has black terminator armor (like all Abaddon's terminators) and I like to see Sanguinius in red power armor, which reflects his legion's color scheme.

Hey there guys.
I should probably explain why I went for the red armour and style. The picture itself was a harken back to 2nd edition where Sanguinius is described as wearing Red coloured armour. I hadn't really seen a primarch in anything but gold armour and found they all looked quite similar in the new 'visions of' images. And though I thought the new pictures of Sanguinius based off those old John Blanche images were great, I felt it was lacking a lot of character that he could have had. So we went with the red which looks great I feel. The style and size of the armour was a trial and error thing between me and Colrouphobic. But I feel that any lighter/thinner and he wouldn't have the presence he's currently got on the image. But considering he's a Primarch and broke greater daemons over his knee I think that's probably quite tight fitting armour for him anyway.  Its definitely good to see the piece after having it in your head for the last 20 or so years. Amazing work on Colrouphobics part with interpreting my thoughts. I have to say, I prefer this vision of Sanguinius over the trim, golden, Fabio-esque descriptions that he tends to get in the lore. He looks like he's ready to put the 'blood' in Blood Angels, though he's clearly already started with the Daemonette.
