Sorry to hear you didn't like it Samol.
The imagery and idea for the figure was mine and it's mainly a harken back to the 2nd edition descriptions and snippets of the heresy noted through the Codex Imperialis, Wargear and Rulebook sections of the boxset. Such as him having both the Blade Encarmine and his own sword, red armour and being a giant (Whether you interpret that literally or figuratively is a completely other argument as Col will agree ).I do however refuse to believe that the Dark Angels have a monopoly on winged helmets. Interestingly the Lion helm as originally described in Codex Angels of Death (Circa 2nd ed) is a winged Mark 7 helmet and not a knightly one as in the recent pictures in the Visions series. I chose the winged helmet as you'll notice on zooming in on the full image, that the visor part of the helmet has a blood drop on it. The wings on the sides of the helmet forming the blood angels symbol with this. In any case I'm a little dissapointed that just because he has a winged helmet with a knightly shape to it he's seen as a red Dark Angel. But each to their own. Hokay gentleman, It's been uploaded but as it's such a huge file it needs downloading first (Can't find any hi-res image sites to host without paying). Thanks, it's a staggering piece of work. Personally, i love the helmet and the armour, and as you say, the more you zoom in, the more detail becomes apparent.

I like the artwork a lot.
 I think some people don't like any image that strays away from what they imagine to fit in their version of the 40k universe. I do think that our primarch would have been a giant amongst Space Marines and personally I like the blood red armor. Certainly Sanguinius would have more that one suit of armor to wear in battle. I think the helmet is brilliant! Excellent art! 0b

This picture was one of the reasons I came back to the hobby. I think this is what Sanguinius should look like. Truly a great piece of work. I love it! Red Dark Angel?! O.K. I guess. Regardless, this art is great. You know maybe GW got it wrong when describing the blood angels and Sanguinius in general. I will go with this as Sanguinius for what its worth.
