JEFF4i Posted April 20, 2009 Share Posted April 20, 2009 Okay, so I want to get some input here, and this will be a bilateral thing for me. I want to do a model of each Wolf Lord. Ragnar and Grimnar will be easy since I've already got them and painted them. I have already done Bjorn Thunderwolf, with who's Great Company I've modelled the rest of my Space Wolves after. Picture doesn't do him much justice, as he's my best painted unit by far, and I love the way he looks, just trying to find a good spot for a wolf pelt on him, and make the thing. Bjorn Stormwolf screams Terminator Armour Twin-Lightning Claws to me. I drop pod him in, y'know, Lightning fast and Storm, blitzkrieg-type of attacks. Due to the Fire, I thought the weapon made sense. Model, again, to me just seemed to fit for ole Sven. http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff178/JEFF4i017/Sven.jpg Now, we still have a bunch of Wolves out there. Here are my thoughts on respective armaments: Bran Redmaw (Icon=Blooded Hunter). The icon is associated with the Mark of the Wulfen. Obviously Bran himself won't have to deal with this situation, but its still integrated. Because of this I'm thinking a Wulfen-similar type armament, ala Runic Armour, Combi-Plasma, and Lightning Claw. Grimblood, of the Fire Wolf. Terminator w/Combi-Flamer and Chainfist. Harald Deathwolf. I love this guy, even named my Warhammer character after him, just not his symbol. Due to his icon namesake, and whatnot, I think this (note, I don't believe this is actually possible, but would be sweet): Runic Armour, Two Frost Blades. Yes I know it's expensive, I don't care about expense at this point. Not really sure on the others, though I hope you guys have some ideas. Gyson_Vore Posted April 20, 2009 Share Posted April 20, 2009 I would see Bran as more of a Combat monster. Maybe like two Power Weapons, Lightning Claws, or a Power weapon and close combat weapon. The Iron Wolf I could see with Thunder Hammer/s, just real smashy. The Sea Wolf is harder though. Maybe a Pwer Weapon Harpoon and/or a MC Bolter that looks like a spear gun? For weapons he carries a storm sheild and thunder hammer. He has two great wolves that accompany him named Hoth and Kron. Erik has winter white hair and beard. Valerian Posted April 24, 2009 Share Posted April 24, 2009 Here is my Wolf Lord Alaric: He was built by a buddy of mine about 13 years ago using a an old 2nd edition metal Space Wolf Terminator Sergeant, and metal Wolf Guard in Power Armor (the head and the wolf pelt). The only things used besides that on Logan were 2 of the old space wolf upgrade sprues (for the wolf heads on Morkai and the axe blades), a grey knight terminator arm, and a two handed power axe from the new space wolf power armor box. @ Requiem - The spear on the wolf lord is a combination of the arm of a PA grey knight, and a spear and axe from a chaos marauder horseman.
