Silver Skulls Librarian (Counts as Tigurius)

Hi all.

After having read for some while and given some cc, i think its time to post my own creations.

Introduction:

I restarted the Hobby in October 2008 after taking a break for 4 years. No Armys left (all sold), i decided to start a Silver Skulls Army because of the looks and their psychic orientated fluff.

After buying the SM Codex i soon felt the need to give them a Chapter Master. I wanted him to be a Master Librarian who interprets the imperal tarot and then sends his warriors (or doesnt).

Ruleswise i think Tigurius fits best to that idea and he will only be in field from 1500 Points upwards. I will always choose a Librarian as HQ for fluff reasons.

So no more babbling here he is c&c is welcome of course.

@ Himsa

I just added some green stuff to make it look more like the one the Librarian in the Codex has. With paint it looks really cool and gives the whole model more mass i think.

@ MasterCommander...

I did no Photochronicle while sculpting him. My general advise work in steps and be patient. As tools i use all i think is usefull. Drills are your friend. Use files and work in layers.

Dont be afraid to mix materials.

Next time i sculpt something i will take process pictures and post a kind of how to do... .

Wow, that's really impressive.

What I like most is the book. I'm going to loot this.

I have to say that I don't like the head. Not how you converted it, but the gw-head itself. It's one of those think who are to big compared to the new spacie-heads from gw. But hey, that's not your fault :P.

Keep on converting!

@DonUlfo

Maybe the head is a little big. I didnt really notice that so to me its fine. I die chose this had because i thought it looks most like the face in the illustration (of the ones in my bits box).

@DarkBrotherhood

Cure? I dont let ist cure at all (maybe thats wrong ;) ) i knead the gs till its flexible enough in my eys. Take little amount of it and the sculpt it. To geht nice edges i cut off excess gs.

After scilpting i let it cure an when i think a flat surface is not flat enough i take a file and flatten it.

God news: I have painted all of the mini but the chapter markings.

Bad news: Like Don Ulfo said the had is a bit big. Now that its painted its most obvious and makes the mini look strange.

I think i will rip of the head and fit in a smaller one (the one out of the devastor box).

Pls be patient, i will keep you up to date.
