Ultramarines Land Raider Redeemer

Recommended Posts

I have recently decided to re-ignite my Ultramarines project, only this time it will be with the Third company. First up is the Land Raider Redeemer I got for Christmas, '08. I started it this Tuesday, starting out with the interior. Soon after I began, I realised that I needed another wall/screen bank/tool holder and double doors, as it wouldn't look good otherwise. I ordered them Tuesday evening from Bitz Box, they should arrive sometime between next Monday and Wednesday (I hope for Monday, I won't be able to finish the interior and move on to the rest of the vehicle before the bits are finished). But other than that, it's going good, and I am thoroughly enjoying painting it (I'm a thread-head, and a sucker for detailed interiors).

I have painted all parts of the interior, even though most won't be visible once the LRR is finished. It won't feel right to me otherwise. I even put a purity seal thingy on the back of the wall right behind where the dual Assault Cannon is located.

Now, enough with the talk, and onto the pictures:

Left side of the interior:

Right side (dry fitted, not glued together yet):

The roof - where the back copula is located, and where the commander will sit (from below, obviously):

The front part of the roof, where the front turret is located:

The floor:

The engine. I'm very fond of this piece, both the sculpting and my painting of it:

Bah, picture limit. More posts with pictures just a little down the page.

Due to picture limits, I'll break it up into several posts.

Front doors (I need a name for the LRR, which'll be written in the nameplate on the top door, I just haven't figured out what it is going to be yet):

The gun rack, just inside the front door on the right (and additional purity seal):

Benches (in order - left rear, left front, right):

Side door, left (pictures I took of right door turned out blurry and un-focused):

Double doors (they are blue because I wanted something Ultramarine-y inside the tank too, and not just outside):

And last, but definitely not least, my pride and joy of this project, the screen bank:

I'll update with more WIP pictures tomorrow or the day after (of the commander).

Comments and constructive criticism is welcome.

Also, there is more about this project, and the related Third company project in my blog. Link in signature.
