But we have show off your tanks, dreadnoughts, HQ, Sternguard etc... why not scouts. In my, humble, opinion, they are the coolest and most 'characterful' unit in the space marine codex. Normal scout squads, scout bikes and storms can be showed off here. It's all in the title! Show off your scouts.This provides the dual purpouse of showing them off, and also giving me a little inspiration for a 'characterful' squad of scouts I plan to do. Please only comment if you have posted a picture yourself. For the snow I use GW modelling snow 1 Mix some "snow" with PVA till you get a porridge like constancy 2 Paint it on to the base with an old brush (the thicker you make it the more shape you can give it on the base) 3 Dip it back in the pot of snow while its still wet 4 Clean off the excess with another (dry) old brush hope this helps :-) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The scouts have been given shotties and one of then a combi-flamer... i used some IG cadian bits including helmeted heads and a vox caster. It has been so long since I was working on these guys that I managed to miss that! I was considering painting the clothes differently, and did a Photoshop test to see what it would look like. (I don't even remember if I repainted them or not!) I didn't notice I had grabbed the wrong pics! Although I don't have any of my own to add, I will say one thing - if you paint Salamanders scouts without blotchy half-conventional-African-black-and-half-Salamanders-coal-black skin to represent the geneseed working on them, you're doing it wrong.
