Space hulk Terminators - hoping not to get carried away!

Well, I had no plans what so ever to paint any of the contents of the new hulk box until at least after Xmas. Somehow the little dead dude sat on the throne made his way onto my painting tray and before I know it the whole blinking squad is done. Trying my best to stick with the contents but I did really enjoy painting something other than blue and it's possible this could lead to an Angel army...GAH!

Kept the casual Crimson Ultrawings approach to painting them and wanted something bold and pretty that would stand out on the game board

Anyhow pics below, stealers to follow when I have the time

Few pics showing them on the board in a more natural light, added a few spare muzzle flashes I had left in the bits box too

Your red is sublime. You should enter the contest over on the Blood Angel forums. Great work. Those highlights are smooth and the transition from dark to bright is just right. You have to tell your secrets.

Obey the Emperor.

Well, what did you expect!

Hopefully have a little spare time to whip up some stealers over the weekend so should have an update by Monday. Chap who I was supposed to grab the hulk figure from was poorly today so sorry but the tut will have to wait a while longer <roll eyes>

Knocked up a few Stealers over the weekend ( ooer, legal? possible?)

Same system as the termy's simple fast ink n lining techniques. Think of them more as bold, in your face gaming pieces rather than miniatures. probably do the Broodlord last and make him a little paler than the rest of his little 'uns

Gotta say really enjoyed these due to the different poses and interesting bases, worryingly I had a little nosy at what other figures were available in a Nid army..uh oh....

Tut will be on its way soon as I snag a couple of spare figs from the local GW ;)

Apols if I posted the stealers on a PA only part of the forum however I feel that the content of this thread is still within the spirit of the title and to be honest if you look closely a lot of the Stealers do feature some Power Armour. OK, so for most part its the severed heads of the unfortunate Imperial prey but hey, any port in a storm!

Surely I earned a little slack with the volume of stuff I have painted/built over the last year!? :P

Actually on the same subject onto the last 5 stealers as we speak and not having looked closely at them before they are on some nice bases, namely half a suit of T armour complete with broken sword, the helmet is held within their spiny fingers. Should contrast nicely against the dark blue of the stealers

Oh, the muzzle blasts are from Armorcast, cinematics section

Man, can't wait for the tutorial - especially the stealer one, which I totally think is appropriate.
