Having been inspired by Anthony Reynolds' series about the Word Bearers, I decided a while back to put together my own force themed around the characters from the novels. They probably come fourth in my ratings of awesomeness (out of all the undivided) but only narrowly behind my 3rd choice the Iron Warriors... That being said... if I see more Word Bearers I might have to re-evaluate this and even the Night Lords and Alpha Legion might have to worry about the word bearers as well :lol: Can I ask is the champions helmet (with the horns and skull) from the chaos nights set and where is the sickle thing one of the chosen holding from? Lucifer216 Posted November 27, 2012 Author Share Posted November 27, 2012 Thanks for the kind words guys :lol: Watch Commander Danek: The tanned flesh cloak/tabard look was achieved with a base coat of Dwarf/Ratskin Flesh and highlighting with a mix of Dwarf/Ratskin Flesh and increasing amounts of Elf Flesh. I then gave it a wash of Devlan Mud. A word of warning, it doesn't look that good without freehand to break it up a bit. The horn/warm bone recipe is snakebite leather, followed by desert yellow and a final highlight of rotten flesh. Kingdom of the Emperor: The Forgefiend is 9.7cm tall, with the tallest part being the exhausts. The Necrosphinx is a bit taller at 11.1-11.3 cm (depending on headdress). As luck would have it, I have a partially painted Necrosphinx of my own.
