i too am a fan of the soul drinkers and have my own force but i have stuck to the units mentioned in the books lol so i dont have a dread, terms or a raider  well apart from the term sarge who trained the scouts.

have you worked on sapardon or tellos?

Dark claw i used to play a more conservative list but... Goodies spice up things a bit! No sarpedon or tellos yet.

Fire lord thanks man.The vents were not that difficult. I'm happy you liked them!

Cheers

That is one impressive looking army - the purple is brilliantly done and works so well with the bone white. I love the fact that you havn't gone too over the top with mutations - it makes the army look like they are just starting to experience the occasional mutation.

Excellent work - would love to see more!

No sarpedon or tellos yet.

Do you plan on adding either of these? I ask because I've yet to see a truely awesome conversion of either of these. Based on your conversions and painting, I believe you won't disappoint if you choose to go for it. Being a fan of the books, I'm looking forward to seeing more of your work.

(I mean an assault cannon pre heresy? Come on proof read your work!)

Actually Assault cannons were around Pre-heresy.Ancient Rylanor had an assault cannon arm,the Baal predator was an STC found by the Blood Angels during the Great Crusade(they just didnt pass it along) and the Land Speeder Tornado(wich was intoduced late in the Great Crusade).I guess it would be rare amongst infantry, but still most of the technology the Imperium has now is from that era. :D

Have a look here:

I can't believe I missed this thread. As you could guess, I, too, am a major Soul Drinkers fan. If I weren't playing Angry Marines, I'd play Soul Drinkers. Anyway your force is beatiful, truly envokes the image of the Soul Drinkers. Great, great job and keep it up.

Yes and I think I goes without saying that at some point in time when your expanding your force, you must (scratch that, Have To) add Sarpedon as it's the wierd spider-legged, hell-shooting Librarian that wins the day for many Soul Drinkers fans. Also, add a "proper" Luko (with dual lightning claws and mohawk in all) to the command squad.

I'll be following this thread bud, keep on posting:

Nice work done there.

As a Soul Drinker army player I can honestly say sticking to the fluff for the army is hard to do and be competive.

Your conversions look great to, Sarpedon is a hard one to work out and look good on the table.

Here's mine

and tellos
