I left the banner off for ease of painting, and I decided against ordering resin bases. I want to create my own theme, not use something that can potentially be restricting. Also, it will keep costs down, so I can buy more miniatures, especially since Bloodcrushers are $30.00 a piece. I hope to be painting this first unit within the next week or two. Support By Fire Posted May 10, 2010 Author Share Posted May 10, 2010 I am still debating whether I am going to do a burnt wasteland or a desert scheme. I am leaning to the burnt wasteland scheme, as I have already done a desert scheme on my Black Templars army. I will use some ruble and some "battlefield scraps" to add character to certain bases, mostly on the larger bases on the Bloodcrushers and larger models. Support By Fire Posted May 25, 2010 Author Share Posted May 25, 2010 Alright, got a big update for you guys. Not much on the Bloodletters, but I got crazy busy on my Skulltaker. After seeing that pic of the new Daemon Prince, that is exactly the color scheme I want for my army, hopefully they do a masterclass on it. On the Bloodletters, I have tried a couple of different washes to get a base coat that I like, too early to tell yet, but I am thinking of using all of them, to get some variation on the models. As for the skulls, I still need to bring the color back up after a Sepia wash for shading, along with several other details and touch ups too.
