Hello, everyone, been awhile since I posted, but I've been lurking regularly
 Just wanted to show you guys my latest project that's DA related, I've been working on a traitor guard army and the other day I realized I wanted it to be lead by a fallen Angel and Straken's stat-line in the new Gaurd Codex is basically a marine one, including the 3+ Sv.  So I made this True-Scale model to emphasize the size of the Marine to the rest of the guard army. Quite splendid. Before anyone asks him where he got his parts (including the awesome holstered bolter), just click on his more info HERE link. It has a detailed list of the parts and where they came from.
Mind sending me a PM link with a full army shot with this guy somewhere in the mix? I like the look of the few guardsmen I can see, so I can't wait to see everyone under this guy's leadership. I know it's a name of a creature from a game, but Lagiacrus sounds rather fitting. Sar Lagiacrus, Slayer of the wyrm of Nariah. That's a really good model - well converted and painted. Technically speaking, there wouldn't be the Deathwing's broken dagger emblem on his leg, but that's a really minor point. I really like him - good work! --------------------  |

Very gritty dark and mysterious figure with the cloak that way. Especially with the bigger scale he should be a great addition to your list.
(You could greenstuff the break in the dagger, just make a really thin roll of green stuff by rolling it on a tile. that should fill it up easily and then you can paint over it if you feel it matters enough) -------------------- Over-sized ego removed. Love the model mate and one of the best true-scale marines i've seen. I recall that in the book "Angels of Darkness" the fallen dark angel Astelan leads an army of guardsmen and takes control of an imperial planet. I know in the book Astelan says he was doing it for the Emperor but it's just a thought. Looking forward to seeing a whole army shot.

This is a stunning bit of work it really is. Love the pose, the 'aura' for want of a better word, and the battered paint scheme. The =][= power sword is a really nice touch as it looks quite chaosy.

Thanks for the input, I'm glad most people like him, I'm pretty happy so far, I just need to finish up his different metal parts, including working on the sword more. On a side note I also just finished a MkIIb kit-bash/scratch-build for my DW so I'll try to get some pics up for you guys of that as well, I have 6-7 weeks to finish my 2 LR's and finish painting the more detailed work on my DW sergeants for an upcoming 1850 tourney (ps. even though the Fallen's army is not all powered armoured could I maybe post a "family shot" here or should I just link to my blog once I get the team assembled?) Don't get discouraged about the broken sword. I think if anything, a member of the Fallen should have first rights to take the broken sword emblem. There's a chance that he actually witnessed the Sword Break, and if he has ever bumped into Cypher (which seems to be a reoccurring thing in fluff) he would know without a doubt the status of the sword.

So slightly off the Fallen topic, here's MkII LandRaider I've been working on, still need to fill the big gaps around the front plates, but other than that pretty much finished.

So here's another installment of the Fallen, basically done, I want to work on the sword more, and I still need to add his name the leg scrolling and finally matte varinsh to try and blend all the layers abit more, so I will get those pics up when I actually do those things which might be a bit     little more info and pics here I am really curious what people think of my weak attampt at NMM, I like the gold, but I am going to work on the sword bladee more, I'm just not feeling it  anyways thanks again everyone cheers, ps. I am trying to improve my picture quality but its a WIP like most of models

I read your blog there and it made me laugh. Got me thinking though, how the hell can they live for 10 000 years? It's not like they make new Fallen. I guess it's all the time displacement thing.
So are you going to make more, or does he act on his own? I don't know why but Caphias sticks to my head for his name. Maybe I just read it somewhere but something like that is what I think. -------------------- Me as DA 0-4 :(

I love this idea. It is exactly how I see a Fallen operating - I even mentioned in another thread that this would be the best way to introduce a "Fallen army". Not an army of all Fallen, which is simply unfluffy, but an army lead by Fallen Angel HQs but whose troops are made up of renegade guardsman and astartes (probably nothing too chaosy though) along with just general "rouge trade" type mercenaries - maybe they even tolerate the usage of expandable xeno auxiliaries.

I've been planning on doing a mark II landraider conversion, but I haven't been able to decide how to scratch build the sides properly. Any advice or even plans? I like how yours turned out.
