True Scale WIP

Hello, everyone, been awhile since I posted, but I've been lurking regularly <_<

 

Just wanted to show you guys my latest project that's DA related, I've been working on a traitor guard army and the other day I realized I wanted it to be lead by a fallen Angel and Straken's stat-line in the new Gaurd Codex is basically a marine one, including the 3+ Sv.

So I made this True-Scale model to emphasize the size of the Marine to the rest of the guard army.

That is a beautiful model. I like it a lot. It's a very nice piece with great posing. That pose just looks so natural.

^ Thank you, the pose really was something I worked hard on to give him the casual but totally Bad@$$ at the same time like: "I guess I'll walk over there and run you through with this big ol' power sword...you know, I'm like ten thousand years old, right? Ya' know not everyone can do that right, only supreme Bad@$$3$ can do that...ya' know cruise around and battle for ten millennia"

 

So anyways:

So here's another installment of the Fallen, basically done, I want to work on the sword more, and I still need to add his name the leg scrolling and finally matte varinsh to try and blend all the layers abit more, so I will get those pics up when I actually do those things which might be a bit :)

I am really curious what people think of my weak attampt at NMM, I like the gold, but I am going to work on the sword bladee more, I'm just not feeling it :)

your NMM is a good starting point, as with this hobby everything improves and i think its a good start but i think more progressive shades are needed. The model though blows me away i want one !.

As far as a name goes.. might I suggest Uziel.

That model is awesome :-) and I really like the idea of using Straken rules to fit him into a guard force, very clever. Especially having a single Power Armour model in a guard force being true scale I imagine it makes him really somewhat of a centre-piece or focal point of the force, as all good commanders should be :-)
