Mortis Dreads

I've noticed a couple of things that need to get fixed, besides the odd unpainted Purity seal, one of my TLCC/ML dreads needss a head, somehow I kinda forgot to put it on.

You might have noticed some different embellishments; On some of them I've used Sequins to represent glass optics, search lights, etc. All of them are numbered on their right leg. You can see it real well on the side view of the 4 TLCC/ML Dreads. Am still designing a proper campaign badge for the upcoming Apoc game.

This is my first attempt at basing anything, I'm happy how they turned out.

Hope you liked them.

Wow, building and painting so many dreads can only amount to a huge challenge - well done! But I don't see how they are Deathwing Dreads? Not a single one of them is bone white, and only a couple display any DA iconography on their hulls as far as I can see!?

Based on my DIY DA chapter history. The Chapter was peeled off of the Legion and sent off on a unique mission for the Emperor. As such they still wear the original DA Black for the Deathwing. My PA troops wear a multi color cami motif.

Yep I do like the Dreads. This project is part of a 20,000 point DW Apoc army I'm fielding this summer. and your right, I should probably add some more DA Iconography.

I salute you fellow Dreadnut! Just in time for Spearhead, too - any idea how many of them you could get into such a force?

Let's see:

- Ambush

- Tank Hunter

- Archeotech

- Outrider

So even with the maximum valid Spearhead formation and FOC you still wouldn't be able to field them all! :RTBBB:

You know, I've an Apoc game coming up in August, I'll certainly be reviewing the Spearhead formations. Though at the moment I'm leaning toward Search & Destroy. Already have 2 full RW Attack Sqds and a Support Sqd in mind for it. But in review, all the rest are worth thinking about, and looking into.

Glad to see that there is such good progress being made my friend! I still need to get greenstuff so I can finish my last Ironclad.

The bases came out ace.

Cheers!

How many of those are AoBR dreads? Just added forgeworld arms?

I really like the effect. haha, you should adopt the blood angels books just to field as many of them as you can in a regular game :)

Huh, when you get to your Local Gaming Store with them, slowly Un-Box them One-By-One, to the 'Ah!'s and 'Oh!'s of surrounding, unsuspecting, now-drooling wargamers.

Thanks for the props, I appreciate it.
