Next ultra-meet ideas

Recommended Posts

I think I pocked my head into an Old ultrameet thread but what kind of format do your ultrameets (or whatever this meet will be) take? 1 day all day events? week end event? Are they essentially hang outs with pick-up games or tourny events with no narrative or a narrative campaign thing where people compete but it is all friendly?

we generally run pick up games, its all about socialising

OK so as I have been haunting this thread at the moment I will give some details.

if we got your group involved perhaps someone can do food again and raise money for sad muppets.. a little perk for helping organise it?

Sadly the facilities in our actual hall are much less impressive and the cost of providing food will likely be more than the potential gain from you 'orrible lot :) We sell general "tuck" though (crisps, chocolate and cans), food is not a big problem as it is essentially in the heart of the town. As to the tables situation we have sufficient to make up probably 11 6 x 4 tables, which will probably be more than enough given previous numbers.

In the past they have been a weekend thing, both Saturday and Sunday. Generally speaking its just a bunch of fun pick up games. There was an attempt at doing a narrative battle last time but we had a severe lack of Tyranid players (looks sheepish at the fact that he sold his before the date). I like narrative campaigns but generally speaking it requires quite a lot of initial thought and creative flare.

Again I dont want to sign myself up to this too much at the moment because my free time and availablilty for Jan/Feb is nto clear enough. Still with enough advanced warning I can get my 'orrible lot to decide whether or not they want in on it and get some costings for everyone. Do people want me to do a feasibility study for Jan/Feb in Basingstoke? I can pretty much figure out how many people we would need and what the cost would be per person to give people an idea.

Cheers
