WingsOfTheFalcon Posted October 25, 2010 Share Posted October 25, 2010 Hi guys, Just a quicky as I thought I'd show you how I built my own version of the PA Heavy Flamer. I've seen a few floating around that use terminator bits, but felt they were a bit chunky for the 'Assault' classification of the weapon. What you need: IG Command Heavy Flamer (Catachan or Cadian) http://b.imagehost.org/t/0565/HF1.jpg Meltabomb: http://b.imagehost.org/t/0555/MB.jpg Firstly chop off the handle from the Meltabomb http://b.imagehost.org/t/0182/MB2.jpg Remove the IG arm and the fuel hose from the flamer, then file the hose space with a round file so it fits snugly onto the Meltabomb. You'll also need to carve off the IF hand, though this will be covered over by your marine hand so it's ok if it's not too neat. http://b.imagehost.org/t/0616/HF2.jpg Finally glue the meltabomb/fuel canister sideways into the gap you've filed. http://d.imagehost.org/t/0938/DSC00355.jpg End result: http://b.imagehost.org/t/0491/DSC00371.jpghttp://b.imagehost.org/t/0590/DSC00372.jpg Hope you like it, any questions then fire away! In honesty I like the fact that it is similar to the size of an existing Flamer, as it seems to match up with an 'assault' weapon, rather than a 'heavy' weapon.
