Its always great to log on and find that other Brothers have checked out your progress, i find that the encouragement keeps me painting and stops me moving onto something else. Over the past few weeks I have been trying to complete my painting my vow, so far so good. Marnus Calgar is just needs basing along with the 5 Termies also pledged. The Deathwatch marines have really challenged my painting skills as i have tried to pain the chapter symbols free hand. The Sgt was already painted and there is a photo previously shown on this blog, his badge and Space Wolfs have been pre sculpted by GW. The rest have been freehand painted. I am thinking to paint the last Deathwatch marines as the Sable Swords (cheesy considering its for a painting vow) the chapter symbol will be painted freehand. A Dread and Sternguard squad are awaiting in the assembly bay. I have also considered using the Dark Angel robed minis for honour guard. Will put together a test piece and go from there. Dwarfkernow Posted April 13, 2011 Author Share Posted April 13, 2011 At last a return to 40k, have been painting a few non PA additions for a commision so the Ultras and White Panthers have sat on the painting table. I have undercoated the Land Raider Crusader and ready to go whith an assault squad of teminators. I am quite proud of myself as I haven'nt succumbed to the new shiny grey knights hurrah. The resin bits from Scribor Miniature really enhance the finished model. I have another to build which I am hoping to magnetize. I have also carried on working on the command squad and have posted pics below.
