breng77 Posted January 14, 2011 Share Posted January 14, 2011 god dammit, why did this not come out a month ago, I'm playing my DA as Space marines in a tourney tomorrow, and i had to submit my list already. :tu: but at least I can go back to playing them as DA. YAY! This will change a number of my lists though, FNP termies and One Ravenwing bike squad (will now go up to 6 and probably have the banner as well. Positives: Cyclone and storm shield now equivalent to Codex marines (no additional cost if bought as part of a DW squad) Typhoon missile upgrade (no additional cost) Improved drop pods Clarification on RW outflank Calrity over scout sergeant options Updated POTMS Negatives (arguable): Feel No Pain for apothecaries instead of ignoring first wound in shooting Smoke launchers updated Unresolved: Scoring RW Landspeeders (presumably this means they are, but it would be nice to have an FAQ) Thunderhammer stats are still old (good for us, if memory serves) Tactical squad entry is still inconsistent with more recent releases (may be intentional?) Overall my thoughts are that this is very nice to have. Very nice indeed. Company veterans and DW get some nice buffs with the new storm shield rules (which, combined with the old thunderhammer rules mean they will be nasty) The Typhoon becomes viable too. But overall I can see Deathwing squads gaining the most from this, particularly in combination with the apothecary and Deathwing banner.
