greatcrusade08 Posted February 11, 2011 Share Posted February 11, 2011 So this years LPC hs started, due to RL issues today is the first day of my LPC so ive got some catching up to do. heres my pledge: Scout assault squad (ten man).. complete Land speeder storm scouts, squad one (5 men).. complete Land speeder storm scouts, squad two (5 men).. complete scout bike squad (ten man) complete sniper squad (nine men) complete Telion (scratchbuild) complete land speeder storm one complete land speeder storm two complete total of 42 models ill keep the checklist in this post and mark off units as they are completed. i havent got any pics from this LPC yet, but for those that dont know my army, all my scouts are what i call 'MK2's', every model is converted to make them look more menacing than the spotty teenagers GW hs made them look like links: MK2 scouts development land speeder storm scouts completed bolter scouts to start with ive cleaned 30 bases (from back2base-IX) ready for painting, im going to start with my assault scouts this evening, update asap Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
greatcrusade08 Posted February 27, 2011 Author Share Posted February 27, 2011 hi folks its been two weeks since my last confession update.. ill be posting pics a little later, but i have completed my assault squad and my first land speeder storm squad. my second LSS unit is almost complete, the four scouts are converted and base coated and should be finished in the next few days, im just waiting on a few bits to finsih my sergeant and they will be done. my scout bikes have also been under the knife and are now officially MK2s, however i forgot that 3 of them were the older metal scouts with proper SM bikes.. i am unable to convert those so they will have to be replaced with new ones. sadly im unable to buy new ones until next month so i will be unable to complete my vow this year.. however that aside im going to try and finish the rest just as a matter of pride.. play for the draw so to speak :) im also working on my new telion and snipers, i should have a prototype done soon. pics up shortly Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

My concern is that you used the same rebreather head soo many times in the first squad, I'd have mixed it up a bit by adding little antenna to some, extra powercables, different mouth grilles, maybe sculpt a little hair or cut in some scars, ect. so it wasn't obviously the same bit. Just personal preference of course, not a real issue. *sideways glance at two squads of static pose AOBR squads in my own army* The pig iron visored heads look suprisingly good too, giving the second squad a very "spec ops" feel. It took me a few seconds to realize that you were using PA torso fronts as well, very nicely done. I think the gradient effect on the melta and flamer barrels is a little harsh, maybe a light wash of sepia or watered down devlan mud would help blend it a bit?
