Anyway on to the LPC, i completely forgot about posting and so the terminators are almost finished, they are looking good for my standards The land raider is a bit of a problem, mainly because, i don't exactly have a full land raider. i inherited most of my warhammer from my brother and it was all in one huge box, so we shall go with the idea the missing 'pieces' are just war damage. DarKHaZZ13 Posted March 20, 2011 Share Posted March 20, 2011 I started paintg my grey knights a few months ago, not long before the codex annoucment actually (which is why I stopped haha) And I too went for grey over silver...albiet a bit darker. There deffinatly needs to be some shading on the large expanses of armour...a wash (black or black and blue mix) and some bits of directional/edge highlighting... But it is on the right track. Oh. And one thing I found when painting my concept models, I think metals don't really suit the Grey (not silver) GK's unless they are very darker grey... Habe you considered trying NMM? Cpt_Reaper Posted March 20, 2011 Share Posted March 20, 2011 Looks like you put a lot more effort into your Knights than I did mine (silver spray paint FTW!!!). Am I correct in thinking that your Nemesis weapons are painted using Tamiya (or equivalent) Metalic Blue? I painted thr halberds on one of my PAGK squads with that colour and it really stands out, but i found that it did require several thin layers. Justicar Cirekon Posted March 21, 2011 Author Share Posted March 21, 2011 hey guys thanks for the comments,I did the force weapon my own mix of enchanted and ice blue, then dry brushed practically every blue i have on top, i'm glad you guys like it. yeah they were undercoated a while ago then just left, so there are a lot of chips ;) i need to fix it at the moment i am doing base colours, because whenever i have done washes they haven't worked, so i will practise on my other models first, but yeah they do need it Oh. The raider looks good, obviously bits missing but that's not your fault. I'm not too keen on the black stripe where the doors are. But good work none the less.
