Iron-Daemon Forge Posted March 29, 2011 Share Posted March 29, 2011 Hi everone Though I would post a link to my friend report on a game we had during the weekend there. We both been planning a big game for some time which is sort of rare for me. I tend to play 1500pts or 1750pts due to the tournament around here. But since I complete my Wolf Wing 1500pts force just after the Christmas time. I though it would be cool combi them along with Space Wolves tournament force. But then we added a further 350pts to this, for me this would be my two unit of Long Fangs (to make my 1500pts force to 1750 for local tournaent) & a Wolf Guard Battle Leader I had made for the 40k double tournament back in Feb in Warhammer World. I was really up for trying out my Space Wolves force in a bigger game. It ended in a blood draw. For me it was all thanks to a Lone Wolf on one wound & all down to one feel no pain roll :P While my own object was held by the Rhino mounted Grey Hunter squad defended it against all odds!!! Other great moment was my Wolf Guard Battle Leader. He just seem to destroy any tank that came near. Even Death & Glory a Tau Devil Fish while trying to contest there object which you can see in the photos. Also there been a few new Space Wolves models add to my army I though I also post while here, with the Throne of Skulls April in two & a half weeks time. So on full focuse on my Space Wolves right now both gaming & painting wise. I'll also be working on my Space Wolves, with Throne of Skulls April in under three weeks I got lots to do. I've already currently been adding some new models due to new idea or because people have broken a few models. This was more to add trophies as Wolves are like my IW in term it a army I really enjoy useing & up there as a favrout force, like my IW, are current being use in the tournament scene. I like to add trophies to honour brillaint games I have had & it help add theme, also only with Space Wolves (possible another 5% Marine chapter) you can get away with trophies. Nid head is base on my local GW manger Nids force as current I am the only person to defeat him. Not only that, but I done a Mk2 version due to, as said I have a lot of brillaint games. Overall this has help to theme my force. You may notice that Odin has a lot of battle damnge. This show his abilty in games that no matter how much damnge he get, he still hold his ground. In a 3000pts game, he alone held 20 Blood Angels Assault Marines in close combat from turn 3 to turn 5, so four round of combat with two Power Fist. Also you may notice a Bionic eye, not only to fruther add to him being called Odin. Models are like my Furioso - Venrable Dreadnought mix with normal Dreadnought (or Blood Angels in case of the Furioso) & the Blood talon left over from my BA dreadnoughts. Also again wanted to add some trophies of my Wolves games. Viking rune, first one say "For Russ" the other one on the back of the banner say "get it around you jabroni". It was my Land Speeder which fallen onto the floors in Warhammer World. Resulted in the orignaly speeder become badly damnge, bits lost, etc... But he did go & buy me a replacment as he felt guilty after we just been told we where nominee for best armies that the 40k double tournament So this is the brand new one. Again adding trophies & gear. Ork skull base on my Space Wolves first game with the current codex, slaughter the orks in three turns before the oppent give up & all I loss was one Grey Hunter, Dreadnought & Razorback. Ammo bags, etc... my Speeder are the scout of my Mech force. Some new Grey Hunter & Wolf Guard, again few models replace one that broke. Sadily some people can not understand "see with your eyes not with your hands" & pick up my models with out permission while I am gaming or painting. I spoted I was 5pts under in my 1500pts list. So upping (sp) a Power Fist into a Chainfist. This model should hopeful be painted tomorrow. Mine is much more static in the poses (converting chaos warriors does that) and not at all finished on the painting side. So keep a eye out for a battle report with epic saga from the event. Just trying to gather the last few bits before I make these finial conversion, one of them will be a new Wolf Standard for one of my Razoback units. Army getting to a good stage where I am happy with each conversion. How the games have help theme this force & how each model in my tournament force dose have there own story. The trophy work in particular is awesome! Yes, as said I enjoy add trophies. To honour brillaint games, though ever game (bar three in the years I been try Woolves) been great, just a few have really stood out. Like wise it great when meeting pass oppent in tournament & show them some new models, point out a trophies base upon there game. Once Grey Knight are release, I want to add a Bloodletter torn head as a trophies as the game vs Daemons in ToS Nov, it been my most bloodiest games on both side, where barely anything was left alive.
