LPC 2012 WIP Update 1

This is my first WIP update for the Dark Angels I've been painting for the 2012 Librarium painting challenge. I finished 4 normal Marines and the plasma gunner, and the rhino is nearing completion (there are no pics of the rhino yet though). My apologies in advance for the poor quality. I have no camera with better pictures! Without further ado:

Close up on the plasma gunner (I know there are hints of green on the robes in the pic, but they are not real! I don't know how to get rid of them)

Whoa, Very dark Dark Angels, I like!

I love how the green just looks drybrushed on black, it's really true to the idea that our armour is so dark, that it's thought to be black until the light catches on the green.

 

With your plasma dude, you might want to touch up on his feet, and I know you said it's not real, but it looks like there is definitely a spill of green on his hood. I really like the icon on his pack, how did you paint that?

 

I'm also loving the look of what looks like two sgts/vets in the back line!

How's the vow coming along? I bet the rhino is ready by now. :lol: Any progress on the top brass? Almost a week to go... :)
