An update from myself, I finally got some paint onto my miniature and am nearly finished. All I have to do now is give it a nice wash of badab black and some other specific washes then clean up the details.

I'll hopefully finish my Legio-sona up by tonight or tomorrow.

Alrighty then, I've knocked up a 'Brother Olis' (from the Deathwatch, of course). Took me about an hour, more or less, and about fifteen seperate parts. His head has been magnetised so that I can slap a modified SW head on him at some point.

The Chapter Shoulder Pad is not giving much away as i wanted him to either fit in with my Flesh Tearers or my Iron Templars.

The Shoulder Shield has the star and cresent of Portsmouth (my home town) and most of the rest is Legio B&C markings.

Well on this my 21st Birthday, I am proud to announce my Legio-sona Brother Cambrius is completed! Wielding a custom built Stalker bolter, using the ammo casing from a Rhino's storm bolter, some plastic Q-tip/Cotton Bud rod for the barrel and a bipod form the Scouts Sniper set:

I'll be fielding the model in my Sternguard Squads for now as if I ever decide to make any more Legio marines I can have a squad of Legio Sternguard. :D

Now if you'll excuse me, it is time I went to celebrate my successful 21st orbit of Sol. :D

Holy crap! The deadline is in nine days? I haven't even primed my model yet! I see what's going on the next few days for me now!

 

Well, I got the head green stuffed. I sort of cheated and used a marine head that already has my hairstyle just without the chops and goatee. Green stuffed what I could on the face (that more than made up for cheating with the hair!!!!) and using my spare Draigo body as my own. The right arm is swinging out the Nemesis force sword while the left is pulling the cut off bloodletter's head. Blood for the Blood God my ^_^ !!!!

 

I'll prime and basecoat over the next two days along with my extra Paladins, Draigo and Librarian. I'll get a picture up soon enough.

Tried out a load of new stuff on this guy that I hadn't done before, lightning effects over a metallic sword (not sold on that one, but it'll do), OSL from the plasma pistol which I'm really proud of, I know it's not 'correct' in that the light is falling in the wrong places, but for a first go at trying this I'm extremely happy with how it's come out!

List of parts used and why:-

Head - shaven down CSM one for a suitable no messing hair cut 'Midnight style' - my hair is pretty long for me in the photo as I am due my weekly head/chin shave ;) . This is actually the third head I have used (on the mini, not me!) as he had long hair before this challenge, and I wasn't feeling the last BA head on page 3, so here we are.

Legs/torso - Sanguinary Guard art armour (used because I'm a gym monkey :) )

Lightning Claws - CSM Termie Lord cut off at elbow and repositioned on normal marine upper arms. I have also repositioned the cables and added some guitar wire. It had to be twin 'claws for me as they are by far my favourite 40k close combat weapon, and these Termie ones rule.

Shoulder Pauldrons - Sang Guard/Death Co.

Of course he has been painted as a Flesh Eater, as I want to use him in game. So even though he has since had the vampire make over of my FE (see wip log) he will still always be the avatar of me on the table top, tearing through traitors and xeno alike and re-rolling to wound :P

It would appear as though I'm compensating for something, but I just happen to just be a massive fan of Berserk.

 

Either you need more mustache, or he needs less. You have a fairly light one, but he has a zztop style mustache that blends into his beard.

 

 

 

The reason why i choose the Night Lords is because we have a lot in common.

 

Needs more couch.

 

 

If I had the Blood Angels bits, I'd totally join this contest. The stuff I normally wear makes me look somewhere between an inquisitor and Mephiston, so it would have been a fairly easy conversion.. Think I'm gonna go count my pennies and see if I can afford it.. Any chance of allowing late joiners if I can get it? :whistling:
