Uprising Posted January 21, 2012 Share Posted January 21, 2012 I, Uprising of the Index Astartes, vow on the honour of my Chapter(Salamander) to paint and present at least 10 Tactical Marines, 5 Assault Marines, 1 Dreadnought, and 1 Rhino on or before the 31st of March, 2012. I promise to provide at least two WIP updates, preferably with pictures, in that time. I vow that if I should fail, I will provide the Librarium with an article and wear the Signature of Shame until my penitence period is done. I have been in this hobby for about three years now and actually never finish a project/army before. By entering the LPC, I hope on getting started on completing my favorite 40k chapter: The Salamander. Their are a lot of salamander armies, that are painted to perfection, on these forums. I really want mine to be unique, so I decide not to have them fighting at Armageddon or on volcano bases, like everyone else. After reading though all my novels, I found a little piece of story on The Lykaar Campaign in the book "Fear the Alien: pgs 117-119". The two pages briefly describe a three way battle with Space Wolves and Salamanders vs an Ork Waagh vs a very angry Kraken on the frozen planet Lykaar. So Salamanders on snow bases fighting orks with wolves involved, I am in. I probably bored you to death now, so here some pictures Test Tactical marine(not part of LPC) What do you think of my first Miniature of the army? Dreadnought(WIP) Forge World Rhino($20 on ebay :ermm:, still WIP ) 4 Tactical Marines with Green stuff Flames and cloaks(WIP) Rest of Tactical Squad 1(very heavy WIP) Assault Squad(WIP, need green stuff, assembly and finally paint, at least their de molded) Unfortunately, if i get these finished, I still have this mess which contains the rest of the battleforce, five Hammer Terminators, LR Redeemer, five Aobr Terminators, ten more tactical Marines and the heroes. ;) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Uprising Posted January 26, 2012 Author Share Posted January 26, 2012 I really don`t have much of an update on the boys in Green but i do have some on my other WIP power armor. ;) These are my DIY renegades base off of the video games Dead Space 1/2. If you have an idea for a name for the warband, please tell me. I also plan for this to become my next project after my Salamanders. Thanks for reading. Uprising Posted February 12, 2012 Author Share Posted February 12, 2012 Its have been to long since i last updated my blog but life has a funny way of cutting into hobby time. :) I don`t have much in the way of Salamanders(Their halfway done) but I can show my 40k look alike: A Heavy Bolter Night Lord. Painting him up, I relieve we have a lot in common. We were both betrayed, outcasts, and misunderstood by those around us but we kept being our self.
