I think it's my role of member of the greatest DA board in the universe to keep you in line with the recent informations I got from the french board where the inner circle sent me... :huh: For months now we got lot of info after one of our board news seekers submitted us a strange info : Jerome le banner will be exterminatus' space marine Shortly after, the leader of this project Paul Doucet, reached the board, and told us that he was realizing a short film about one of his youth's passion : 40k. As you can see in the previous lin, he recruited some other cast such as : Jess Liaudin and Emmanuel Bonami and the stunt coordinator was Manu Lanzi known for lots of action movies. Then he regullary sent us some WIP. I proposed him to share it with you... He totally agreed and hope that you will appreciate his work so here we go. Phoebus Posted March 5, 2012 Share Posted March 5, 2012 I'll be honest. I hope they use some fancy camera work and CGI, because as the actual props stand, the quality is not that hot. I get that the folks doing this film have a limited budget, and I'm NOT trying to look down on them (especially not before the film even comes out). I just hope things look... sharper by the time the film debuts. There are other things, too, that I was thinking looking through the photos, but I don't want to sound like I'm nitpicking too much, or that I'm not excited for this film to come out. Master Avoghai Posted March 5, 2012 Author Share Posted March 5, 2012 Actually the shooting is over (last august) and Paul told that he entered the post production phase. This phase will last about 1 year and include SFX development and re-working of the images. As you can see in the photos where the marine is sitting and turning his back to the camera, the light and rework doesn't give the same result as the basic image (front plan of the marine in armour). Indeed it's a fan film and will remain so. Paul contacted GW and they told him politely that they will not bring support to him... Meaning by the way that, if they won't try to prevent the realisationof a personnal production, any try to sell it will lead to a lawyers release... :/ Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
