Quirinus Posted March 19, 2012 Share Posted March 19, 2012 Hi everyone. As a way to motivate myself to start an army I vowed to paint a Captain and his command squad, and a tactical squad. They are of course Imperial Fists. This is what I have got so far: The first 5 men of the tactical squad: http://i959.photobucket.com/albums/ae77/Catesy2021/GW%20Models/TacticleSquad1.jpg I may replace the one with the squating legs (on the left) for a causal walking guy to fit in with the rest. He was put together in a rush. The command squad. The left arm will have a storm shield, and need to do some more work on the cape and loin cloth thingy. Not sure on the helmet, have tried these three so far. Quirinus Posted March 19, 2012 Author Share Posted March 19, 2012 It's the gamesday boarding marine torso (which wasn't to hard to remove from the legs) stuck onto the mark 3 running legs.The arms are from the assult marine set and the shoulder pads are from the red scorpian honour guard set. I just don't like the lack of hair on the bare heads, however I think I must admit I have seen some nice pics where stubble has been painted on so it's something to try when I paint. lokkorex Posted March 25, 2012 Share Posted March 25, 2012 awesome looking stuff, the command squad looks really good. what sort of armour is the captain supposed to be wearing? if it's a hybrid then i'd go for head number one, but if it's supposed to be pure Mk.3 then i'd go for number two or tree. I do really like the mark 3 as a Anyway i have gone with a bare head.
