Death Guard warband showcase.

Recommended Posts

Hi guys - new user here. :P I just wanted to showcase my WIP Death Guard army. I've been away from the hobby for 15 years, but started collecting and painting again about 6 months ago, and it's been a blast. Here's what I've got so far:

My Daemon Prince:

Possessed dreadnought:

Lieutenant:

Land raider (almost done)

Plague Marines:

My oblits, almost done:

I need to finish two more units, and a rhino, but then I'm pretty much done with my first 1650 points - but I have a feeling that I will build more. ;)

I can inform the community that Rasmus havn't been idle and that many of the WIP things here are much closer to the finnish line.

And I will allow myself to add to the thread by posting a picture of my Strike Squad Justicar facing the might of the Daemon Prince and with the name of the Emperor on his lips sending the wicked thing back to the hell that spawned it.

The entire battlerapport is very narrative and found (in english) on a danish miniature board, link provided below:

All the models are absolutely top notch, but that dread is simply sublime...in a putrid and deathy way. I especially love the chains and flames of the (I almost can't believe I get to say this :D ) POWER MORNINGSTAR. How metal is that? Answer: Very. Great job, mate.

Absolutely beautiful.

I love the way you have painted them with their original colour scheme and the awesome conversions. You daemon prince, lieutenant and the obliterators are outstanding.

Just one question where did you get the defilers torso and head from?

Thanks a lot, guys. :D

Fenris Kid: It is a skaven Hell Pit abomination torso, with lots of greenstuffing, and the head is two different trygon/mawloc lower jaws glued together:

:D

This is absolutely, absolutely sick! Personally speaking, these are the most unique and probably best-painted Nurgle troops I've ever seen anywhere!

I was about to say the Possessed Dreadnought is my favorite. And then I saw the Terminator Lieutenant. And then I saw your Defiler ... You are a true artist, man! I salute you!

Cheers, JT

What did you use for teeth on the Defiler? Awesome work all round!

Thanks once more for the kind words, all around. Really appreciate them. :)

The teeth are made from Fimo (an oven hardening clay) - I just make a bunch of them, bake 'em, and have them ready for different projects - same as on the land raider.
