Success will bring eternal glory to the Ferrum Lupus/Iron Wolves and failure will doom me to bear the sign of damnation for as long as I am on this site. 1st tactical squad - (almost completed) plasma gun storm bolter Total= 110pts. 2nd tactical squad melta gun storm bolter power fist melta bombs Total= 135pts 1st assault squad 5 additonal members plasma pistol thunder hammer melta bombs 2 flamers Total= 260pts Total force points = 505pts Probably going to regret this but what the hell. Right, lets get this thing started then. Heres a bunch of pics with what I have already, whatever is painted so far I started before I submitted to the vow and just never got round to completing. Sorry for lack of image quality, I have yet to get the hang of taking pics and the camera I am using isn't the best. Heres my assault squad, one marine has some paint on him already and a few others have undercoats: My 5-man tactical squad, likewise some already have undercoats: And a marine that I never got round to finishing: I'll probably finish off the lone marine today and undercoat what ever else I can get done, the rest I'll do whenever I can. Heres some finished pics of my chapter master and the lone marine's squad: Previous pics but with flash: The paint scheme is an undercoat of adeptus battlegrey, followed by boltgun metal, the gold is shining gold, the pelts graveyard earth and the skulls are bleached bone. I would take pics but they are only a duller shade of grey now and theres no point. Might have this done before the sign-up period closes.... hmmm..... I'll get some pics up when I can find some bloody AA batteries for the camera, I swear my parents get AAA just to be in the way. So these are the guys! B) Looking good indeed: seems this is going to be a great army! Thanks, I plan to expand and get some razorbacks for my tacs and a land raider crusader for my assault squad. I am stripping the paint of a pred that I had a few layers of paint on gathering dust, and am now in the process of completly stripping it down and putting it back together again. I don't know where I got the idea from, but I do love the Mechanicus and I was recently reading the Space Wolf trilogy of books an combined the two... then within the last week i've seen guards in Diablo 3 called the Iron Wolves and now your own Chaper... massive coincidence! I thought of the name before I even played D3 or saw this post; I think it may just be the logical step from liking the same thing. I really like what you've done with them so far and I can only hope my own Iron Wolves are as great as yours, it's a simple colour scheme but works well for what you're going for and it gives me inspiration for my own work with the chapter. No Foes Remain Posted May 22, 2012 Author Share Posted May 22, 2012 I know, I wanted to use the new SW kits for something just not SW (no offence) so I though why not have a feral-ish chapter who decorate their armour with wolf-style tokems. And I stumbled upon their colours by mistake, as they didn't have the final badab black wash origionaly so I put it on thinking 'What the hell...' and I liked the way they turned out. I will, but I may have to put painting on hold until this weekend as (apparently) at college we have to have two whole assaingments done by friday as well as a load of work from another assaignment. We got told this about an hour before we wen't home so.... great. I'll probably still paint of an evening so I may have an update thursday.
