Greetings

I started out as a Blood angels player, so the jump to chaos was rather easy to make.

Now with the rumors of 6th edition and chaos getting a new book i started my jurney towards a Emperor's Children force.

This is what i have done so far

9 Thousand Sons

7 Nurgle Marines

http://img94.imageshack.us/img94/9039/img0226rr.jpg

10 Chaos Space Marines with 2x Melta and a Power Fist champ. Normal icon so far. a Slaanesh icon bearer is on the way

http://img710.imageshack.us/img710/4295/img0242fr.jpg

2 Rhinos

http://img855.imageshack.us/img855/96/rhinosx.jpg

6 Terminators, 4x Combi Melta, 1x Power Fist, 1x Chain Fist

http://img196.imageshack.us/img196/8167/img0289we.jpg

http://img703.imageshack.us/img703/2125/img0294ei.jpg

3 Obliterators

http://img821.imageshack.us/img821/6607/bakifrn2.jpg

http://img62.imageshack.us/img62/6277/fram2c.jpg

1 Daemon Prince

http://img706.imageshack.us/img706/4449/img0373or.jpg

And on the todo list atm are 1 Defiler and 6 Noise Marines with sonic blasters.

I got the defiler home before the noise marines were half finished, and still i moved onto painting

the big guy. He looks awesome so far, more updates to come ^_^

Nice Thousand Sons, particularly their bases and the red gem on one's wrist. Is the sorcerer's sword blade going to be detailed a bit more?

I like your green on the plague marines, and the bone on the plasma-gunner's shoulder too.

The rhinos are nice...I like the switched colours on their rear ramps, though how about weathering them both a bit? A few scratches, some dirt, etc.

All the EC stuff looks good! Looking forward to seeing the noise marines.

I really would like to weather the tanks, as they just look too clean now.

I haven't done it before to so i was afraid to ruin them instead.. but i will keep an eye out for a tutorial or two to follow.

And the sorcerer sword has in fact got a touch up, i just haven't come around to take a new photo off him.

Thanks for the nice words !

You're welcome.

If you check the B&C's tutorials forum you should be able to find some threads about weathering. I'd find them now and give you some links but I'm on the mobile.

If you can find it, you could buy some Tamiya Weathering powders. I got a set of three: sandy, dry and wet soil. Looks like a girl's compact. Great and easy to use.

Hey Kerrai, great work! I really like your Thousand Sons and the Obliterators - great paint job - and I like your Chaos marines too.

Your tank lines are SO neat and clean! Did you do those by hand?

I would love to see some pics of the Noise Marines - I love those guys ;)

I have to ask - what did you mean by this:

>I started out as a Blood angels player, so the jump to chaos was rather easy to make.

?? My friend is a Blood Angels player and he hates my Chaos :(

Thanks again for the nice words.

Here is the next adition to the army, a cute defiler. I so dislike the flail weapon and i will most likely try to fix a new one in some way in the future. Convert something to a huge claw or so, got to think about that.

But other then that i am quite happy with it, it looks a little dirtier then the other things i made, but still no real weathering or combat damage, so in a way all my work is still WIP hehe.

@culix, I did in fact do those by hand. Well i first did a paper template and then tried to draw it with a pencil following the templare. And then later on filled it in.

Some of the lines are not in perfect coherency or the same size as the others, but i guess for a new painter thats something to expect.

Well Blood Angels, drinking blood, fanatic, death company are very close to berserkers in matter of spilling blood. Heck, If none looked over the blood angels for a while i am sure

they would succumb to chaos. Thats what i meant, not that they play similar or look similar (more then power armor) =).

I am choosing between painting up Lucius, 6 Noise Marines or Defiler number 2 now, but i suppose i should do the noise marines, so i can show up my converted sonic blasters and all.

Great colours...love the pink and gold, and you've highlighted the black nicely. My first thought was that the cables were rather brightly coloured but the more I look at the photos, the less I think it.

Looking forward to seeing the noise marines!

  • 1 month later...

Quite slow on the summer atm, with work and all but i got a few things done so far..

Another defiler, with a tad bit different scheme, still i like the model and i think it looks quite nice

And 6 Noise marines with sonic blasters. I tried glazing? (thin thin paint and do it in super many steps to get a gradient from dark to light) but failed miserably, i need to practice in the future to make that look nice. The weapon it self is quite nice i think tho.. overall i am quite happy, just the legs of a few guys that look real nasty.

Next up is 10 basic chaos space marines.. and then its time to fix 3 more noise marines and a noise marine champ and Lucius!
